NC_Skins 12-06-2011, 08:26 PM Yep. He'll end up on the west coast. Probably with Carroll's Seahawks.
Why would they when they already signed a TE (Zach Miller) to a big contract?
It's a wake up call for both these guys. If losing 4 game checks and the threat of facing a year off doesn't do it for them, nothing will.

Well after the second failed test, it should have been the 4 game suspension and they still didn't learn. They are incredibly lucky they got a 4 game suspension this time instead of the mandatory year. I hope, for our sakes, that you are right.
Like somebody said prior. This had better been the best weed on the planet, because it's cost those guys millions of dollars.
KI Skins Fan 12-06-2011, 08:41 PM What do Skins do with these two dummies? - NFC East Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/33595/what-do-skins-do-with-these-two-dummies)
Good article and good points.
No way we can rely on these guys in the near future. Trent is going to have to go about 10+ years without ever failing another drug test and quite honestly I don't believe he can. Davis won't last as long, but it's hard to imagine him not failing another one either. Can it be done? Sure. Chances are high they'll get caught again after already blowing 3 chances, and next time, it's going to be for a year. (even though it should be a year now)
It is truly risky to believe that they have learned their lessons after 3 positive tests and that they won't be tested positive again and suspended for a year. Albert Einstein famously said: "The difference between genius and stupidity is; genius has its limits."

Some never truly learn until they have to face the music.
This is the first time they've had to suffer the consequences of their actions. Hopefully it's a valuable learning experience.
sdskinsfan2001 12-07-2011, 01:20 AM I heard on the radio this morning that only 11 guys in the entire league tested positive this season (not sure if they were referring to recreational drugs only, but I think so), and the only two players league-wide that will be suspended are on our team. Awesome.
Fred and Trent are freaking Harold & Kumar. You know you tested positive once. You continue to get high. You know you then failed a second test. And still you smoke weed.
Let's call it what it is. They're a couple of pathetic stoners. The more I've thought about this, the more annoyed I've gotten.
Me too man, I am more pissed off now than I was when I first found out. My official position now is that I don't want them to be part of the team. They are undependable, I don't care how talented they are. See ya. Get caught 3 damn times, and you KNOW the suspension is a year and say eff it I'm doing it anyways. Move Jamaal Brown back to left tackle and draft a right tackle in the 2nd round. Get Cooley back healthy and roll with him and Paulsen. I trust those guys as men and that is way more important than trusting an immature boy's talent.
REDSKINS4ever 12-07-2011, 01:28 AM This thing with Fred Davis and Trent Williams almost feels like Len Bias shocking overdose and death back in 1986. Okay, it's exactly not on that level, but Davis and Williams both let their teammates down, their coaches down, and they let the fans of the Redskins down. Hopefully, this teaches them a valuable lesson and hopefully they both can mature from it and make better and wiser decisions in the future.
skinsfaninok 12-07-2011, 02:02 AM fred isn't leaving
REDSKINS4ever 12-07-2011, 02:49 AM Right now Davis is the most valuable potential free agent on the team. The Redskins will either offer him a decent paying contract, or place the franchise tag on him. They are not going to let him get away, especially after the spectacular season that he had.
