Isn't Fred Davis a free agent this year?
Imagine how hard his agent is going to have to work to get him a big time deal with a lot of guaranteed money given that he will now be "on the list" for enhanced testing from the league and given that from here on out the penalties for getting caught escalate from the 4-game suspension level.
Granted, he is not the only dope-smoker in the NFL but he is now one of the guys under the microscope and he finds himself there just as it is time to try to get some guaranteed scratch from some NFL GM. Let's just say that kind of behavior is not likely to get him an invitation to join MENSA.

His point was the Skins aren't the only team dealing with these sort of things.
Oh for sure. It's just that everything else is going so poorly, this just feels like piling on.

He was under the microscope after the first failed test. Three fails just puts you at the dumbass level. One more strike they both sit for an entire season.

Wasn't Braylon Edwards on a similar situation last offseason? He either was facing suspension or was one more infraction away from being suspended for a long time, and there wasn't much interest in him by teams. I'm sure being in this situation has got to affect a player's bargaining power when it comes to negotiating a contract.

Sux to see Trent taking away for weed because he's becoming a PB LT but gotta stay smart about things.

Rob Gronkowski is a more athletic WittenThat's exactly the comparison that I would have made.

I think it's safe to say the Skins will have some serious leverage in negotiating a new deal with FD, and interest on the free agent market may be lukewarm at best for him.
