He's Peter's brother. I don't think Mike is overrated. 4.45 is an incredible 40 time for a LB. While his 40 time isn't incredibly important, it's just an indication of how athletic the guy is.

SkinsRock 03-19-2004, 09:45 AM What about this scenario: Trade the #5 pick for a mid 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder, then draft a DE with the 1st and Bouleware in the 2nd and converting him to safety.....just a thought..... AnonEmouse 03-19-2004, 10:37 AM If we are going to draft a S it will be Taylor. I can't see Williams settling for a converted player with him available. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 03-19-2004, 01:41 PM There's been talk of Boulware being converted to a safety and his 4.45-40 time certainly leads one to believe he could do it. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 03-19-2004, 01:50 PM Michael Boulware LB Boulware (6-2 1/8, 227) ran his 40s in 4.50 and 4.47. He had a 39½-inch vertical jump, 10-foot-2 long jump, did 15 strength reps, 3.98 short shuttle and 6.52 three-cone drill. I think Boulware is the only person to run the short shuttle in under four seconds at his Pro Day (many did it at the combine). Boulware also worked out as a safety. offiss 03-19-2004, 08:12 PM I think he's a case of tremendous athletic ability but not a great football player, he's not ranked in the top 5 amoung LB's anywhere. skinsfanthru&thru 03-19-2004, 08:19 PM maybe the transistion in player can go from linebacker to safety and vice versa if the player is right. I say this cuz wasn't urlacher originally a safety in college and the bears turned him into their MLB. I'm getting more and more intrigued by the possibility of trading down, drafting a d-lineman with our new 1st rounder, and then using our new 2nd rounder(if thats what we can get) for boulware and having him move to FS. then we'd have the young impact d-lineman everyone is looking for us to have as well as a very fast safety that lays the lumber like a linebacker. don't sound too bad to me. either drafting taylor, winslow, or this scenario would be :biggthump offiss 03-19-2004, 09:58 PM maybe the transistion in player can go from linebacker to safety and vice versa if the player is right. On my board he's the best LB in the draft. I know that sounds crazy to most people, but that's what I have come to believe. We'll see if I'm right or wrong in a few years. offiss 03-20-2004, 03:07 AM On my board he's the best LB in the draft. I know that sounds crazy to most people, but that's what I have come to believe.
