Where is DeAngelo Hall at contract wise?
Anyone? He's got two years left plus a dummy year in 2014.
Hall at this point is year-to-year contractually. It's as cheap to cut him now as he's ever going to be because almost all of the remaining money in his contract is in non-guaranteed salary. In other words, if you wanted to sign Stanford Routt or Brandon Carr, you could do so under the cap for less money than it would take to keep Hall on the roster.

You can thank the uncapped year for Hall's cap-friendly contract. They basically shoved all his bonus money into the uncapped year, so all that remains is salary.
And thus I think it's time for Hall to go. Maybe bring him back for less via a restructured deal, but from what I can tell that's not Hall's style. I see no reason to bring him back for $6M when we can cut him for nothing.
Josh Wilson's 1st year cap hit was $3.4M, so there's a ballpark of what bringing a new guy might cost us against the cap.

I like Hall but based on his salary I think it's time for him to go or redo his contract.

They did. TW has very little bonus left in his contract ($1.8M). The bulk of it is salary and roster bonuses. His cap hit for 2012 is $12.6M, but $11M of it is salary.
