2012 redskins

Another WR free agent available after this season who's currently on IR and I think is a steal is Josh Morgan of the 49ers. He's from DC and I would sign him before any other FA WR.

Bowe, Wallace, Welker, Colston, VJ and DJ are going nowhere. Josh Morgan is a sleeper, you probably haven't seen much from him.

and i really don't want to. not when better options are present. if we can't get a real #1 why bother wasting the money? we've got more #2s than we know what to do with.

I think we will be an active free agency participant; too much on the line for the Shanahans to remain totally draft dependent & patient. Redskins need some immediate help to show measurable progress. Yet another 6-10 season in 2012 probably not good enough to save current regime.

I disagree. If we have a rookie qb next year, the Shannys will be ok as long as they don't go 2-14 or the qb looks like a complete bust. The 4th year is when he has to make at least a playoff push because they won't let him enter the lame duck year with having made progress.

So in honor of Christmas, I present my hopeful redskins roster for next year. I doubt this will be the case. I did however make it somewhat plausible, i.e. we are not going to be able to draft RG3, Blackmon, and Riley Reiff in this years draft because they are all going in the first round. Instead i picked draftees across a range of rounds to fill some of our needs. Without farther ado

This is my biggest concern with your wishlist... No true cover CB or FS? I doubt Doughty will be back, and Gomes has been underwhelming at FS... WE JUST CANNOT HAVE THE SAME STARTING SECONDARY IN '12 BACK FROM THIS YR... Gano IMO has been good enough late to keep his job, and V-Jax is 1 DUI/DWI from being out for a season... This is a wishlist, but I think our needs at CB and S need to be more of a priority (in the offseason).

VJAX still scares me as a prospective FA. I want a receiver who hasnt declined the last year or two. Give me bowe

There's no need to replace Gano, while Hall needs to go.
