He is afraid of the surgery, but he wants to have a chance to do it his way, if it doesn't work he'll have the surgery. Also, since I endorse what diehardskin is attempting to do here in steering this thread back on track, let me just say I'm not quite ready to cut Landry loose just yet. If we bring him back on a one year deal to prove himself all over again I wouldn't be opposed to that. But make no mistake it would be his last chance. His career will be pretty much over. If his Achilles fails again at the start of this year, that's a whole year wasted again, and he probably wouldn't be ready for the following year.(depending on when/if he injures it) He'll be 28 this upcoming Oct, and another year and change if he waits for surgery (even longer) He's a dummy.
