I kind of felt that Orapko was assigned to keep Romo contained rather then just rush him. It seemed like Orapko stayed in front of him and to his outside while the presure came from Romo's right and in front of him in order to keep romo from running to his left. I dont know how true this is, but it seemed this way to me.

I really liked the way our front 7 played. I would love to see Neild get some more reps, he could end up being a stud.

If that's the case, he didn't do much of a job as Romo rollled to his side to make several big plays. In fact, I don't recall one in which Romo scrambled to his right.

On a similar note, read J. Kleim's wash examiner 10 observatons article (link on left hand side of warpath home pg.). He said he heard from a dallas source that the plan was to run to Rak's side.

Hes definitely fast like Jontrem said, but ive always thought hes a little small.... but maybe being next to Orapko and Kerrigan it just seems that way.

The thing i really like about him is his hussel or motor or whatever you call it. He also has pretty good instints. Hes just all over the field on every play. You see 56 everywhere. Hes kind of like a London Fletcher lite.

But what i really love about him is he can tackle, i dont think ive seen him wiff a tackle yet. Thats what ive hated about Macintosh.

As SS pointed out it looks like he was responsible for leaving witten wide open for a TD, but the guy just needs to get more reps. He could be good and if Fletcher leaves he will likely be the play caller next year.

You know whats funny? Whitten was wide open and if it was that LB's responsibility then it was Rocky's fault haha.. You can see on the play that Rocky was in there and not Riley for that play.

I'd consider our D-Line "studs" this week...

DeMarco Murray - 25 Carries for 73 yards... 2.9 per carry.

This is after carving up the league for the past 3 games. I was very glad to see that today.

Also... 4 sacks when Romo hadn't been sacked in 3 games. I know there were 4 times he KILLED us (they decided the game) by eluding our pressure... but coverage needs the majority of the blame there.
This I refer back to my post last week leading up to the game when Dallas announced that Tony Fiametta would not be making the trip to Landover.

Like I said: Before Fiametta was there at full back, Cowboys averaged 86 yards per game rushing the ball. After Fiametta joined the Cowboys averaged over 176 yards per game.

I said last week that the loss of Fiametta blocking for Murray was a huge blow to the Cowboys running game. And it showed.

Pretty sure they both were and Fletcher wasn't in

Well all I saw in the video was Rocky looking downfield at Whitten, but It wasn't anyone's fault.. He came from the slot backside, and broke off his route for a backyard play basically..

Kinda like the D. Hall play.. I don't expect anyone to cover an elite WR/TE for that long.

Yeah and i dont think Rak played good, but tony romo didnt have any rushing yards even though hes a good scrambler. Maybe the plan was to rely on our secondary and force him to throw the ball and not give him the option to run, which will open more things up downfield. I think our front 7 played the best they have all year even though Orapko didnt seem to really do anything, so im just wondering what his roll was.

Special teams should get some love (except for Gano). Great punting and punt coverage. Gano's kickoffs wernt as long as usual but i dont remember the cowboys ever getting past the 20 on the 5 kick offs. Obvisouly Banks finally had a good game.

Also i think we did really well by not committing penalties. There were a few offensive holding calls in the first half which I think were complete bs and piss poor officiating.

Well, despite the outcome, a lot more positives this week than we've had in a while. Let's get right to it.

Ryan Kerrigan: What can I say? The guy is a total beast and brings it every week.

Stallworth/Gaffney: great job all day bailing out a team with zero running game.

Rex Grossman: the pick was bad, but overall he looked very poised and confident and spread the ball out to 9 different receivers. No question he's better for this team than John freaking Beck.

Pass Pro: was surprisngly good today. I thought Dallas was a lock for 4 or 5 sacks.

Sav Rocca: continues to be so valuable.

Brandon Banks: 2 very good returns today. About time.

To these I'd add Perry Riley.. Why wasn't he starting sooner? I like how he plays fast and decisively. He's going to make some mistakes (it was his bust on the Witten TD because Fletcher was off the field and he slid to Fletcher's position) but make them now in a lost season while learning rather than when we are trying to make a run at something other than draft position.

Although he's going to be one and done, Stallworth gets props also. From shopping for groceries last Sunday to catching the game tying TD in the waning moments this Sunday. Suck it Kurt Warner! (ok, not really)

NFL.com news: Redskins' Gaffney has ugly Twitter exchange with Cowboys fan (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82455e5f/article/redskins-gaffney-has-ugly-twitter-exchange-with-cowboys-fan?module=HP11_headline_stack)

I think hating Cowboy fans is a reason to make him a stud for the week. Though he did have a great game.
