At this point I think our only chance of another win is 12/24 (minn @home).
Really what a sad sad season.

mredskins 11-14-2011, 11:55 AM At this point I think our only chance of another win is 12/24 (minn @home). Really what a sad sad season. mredskins 11-14-2011, 12:00 PM I still cheer for this team but I hardly watch the games anymore, have not bought any merchandise of theirs in years, and never defend them. If someone comes up to me and says they suck I am like they sure do! Honestly if not for this web site and the core posters on here I probably would have dumped the Skins by now. I quite honestly don't see a light at the end of the tunnel or anything that makes me believe we are on the right path. I was a MS support but he has done nothing but make this team worst. Look at SF for example and what they have done with a college coach in their first year. What a sad state of affairs. htownskinfan 11-14-2011, 12:08 PM Kyle S: “Daddy why can’t we win a game” Daddy S: “Cause I’m a washed up old coach, and I’ve built a pile of crap for a team”. Kyle S: “Daddy what’s a Mormon ,Moron, and MF’er cause the team keeps calling me and my quarterbacks those names and it makes us mad.” Daddy S: “Beck is the Mormon, you and Beck are the other two, it’l be ok they’re cool nicknames, I get called those all the time too.” Kyle S: “Daddy did you see what those Cowboys did the Bills, Daddy we didn’t even score on those guys, I’m skeerd ,what are we gona do” Daddy S: “Shut the hell up and let me think for a minute, and go get me a Diablo samich and a Dr. Pepper and some hush puppies for Mr. Snyder” that would be funny if it wasnt true:cheeky-sm GMScud 11-14-2011, 12:08 PM I know I beat this drum at least a few times a season, but I'm going to once again lay the smack down on our pathetic local radio broadcasting team, Sonny, Sam Huff, and Larry Michael. Sam Huff is so done. It's a total embarrassment, and at this point the Redskins need to remove him from the booth for his own dignity. He's literally a mix of drunk and senile. I just heard a clip of him on the radio- when Rex threw the INT to Dansby, Sam said "my gosh that's his 4th INT!" He just has no idea. I disagree...but this is the smackdown thread and you're entitled to your opinion. GMScud 11-14-2011, 12:25 PM I disagree...but this is the smackdown thread and you're entitled to your opinion. I agree with your disagreement. We have a bevy of young draft picks in the fold, and another chunk of picks upcoming in this years draft. We're in good shape with the salary cap, and we don't have a lot of money tied up in older players right now. We're getting younger. However, I'm beginning to lean towards Mike Shanahan not really being too much of a positive right now. Hiring Kyle is looking like a mistake, and he's totally wet the bed at the QB position. But I do think there is reason for optimism in the coming seasons IF IF IF we land a blue-chip QB. GMScud 11-14-2011, 12:26 PM But, this is the smackdown thread, so I'm gonna call out Landry again. At this point, I don't care if we let him walk. He's not that great, and my god is he a punk ass. The barking and finger wagging after opponents get a first down is just a total joke. He has no idea what's going on out there. sportscurmudgeon 11-14-2011, 12:32 PM i honestly didnt see any one player or unit have a really bad game . . . outside of the run game. my god our run game has to be they worst run game in the league the last 3 to 4 games or so. so while they only gave up 2 sacks, the O line and the total disappearance of the stretch run play is my big smack upside the head. homie dont play that. GM - for studs, you got kerrigan and i think the safeties. i know it was matt moore but they didnt let a brandon marshall led receiving corps get behind them for a big play. i cant really think of many big passing plays on us all year wit or without atogwe. maybe even rex? compared to last couple weeks he did wonders The Skins did not score a TD all day long. The total offense for the day was about 250 yards. The defense - - trailing by 4 points - - took the field with 12 minutes in the game and the ball at the Dolphins 19. (This was immediately after the Grossman INT in the red zone.) With a "three-and-out" or with one first down and a punt, the Skins would have been in a position to win with a single drive. The defense allowed a 6 minute drive for 81 yards and a TD putting the game out of reach. And you say you didn't see any player or unit have a bad game? mredskins 11-14-2011, 12:37 PM I disagree...but this is the smackdown thread and you're entitled to your opinion. but honestly just in the time that this site has been up and I have been here for quit awhile, have we seen a new coach come in and nothing changes. I hope it does but history tells me not to hold my breath. And let me add I was not looking for a Super Bowl run or a playoff run this year, I would have just like to seen us won more games than last year, doesn't look like at it at this point. sportscurmudgeon 11-14-2011, 12:39 PM There were more but I'll continue to :bdh: and go with the secondary. More specifically D Hall... so tired of this guy, would love to trade him but we wouldn't get squat. Wouldn't mind if they released him at this point. Crazy Canuck: You are not beating a dead horse. Hall is among the highest paid players on the roster and he is an ordinary performer on the field. The myth is that he is a "shut down corner". If that is the case, how come offensive coordinators with QBs of the quality of Matt Moore target his side of the field at least as often as they do the other side of the field. The only facet of the game in which Hall excels is running his mouth. In Texas, they call him "all hat and no cattle". |
