There were two great cover corners available this past offseason, so b*tch at the FO for that.

..and neither of them wanted any part of us. You can't force free agents to come to DC.

Hmmmmmmmmmm I am GM huh?

1. Draft a first round QB from the following list: Moore, Foles, Keenum, Tannehill, Landry,Griffith III, etc

2. Draft top Gs ( perferably big hogs from the Big Ten or Big 12)

3. Draft a CB

4. Lower rounds go for LB and another CB or S.

5. Resign Fletch at all costs if the Skins experience hasn't sapped him of all his joy playing football.

6. Do whatever I can to make D Hall an ex Skin(preferably trade his ass for a mid round pick)

7. Keep Cools with a cheaper contract.

8. (optional) Draft Dan Persa or another decent QB(ie Tannehill if available) in the mid to later rounds to get a 3 QB roster going again

9. No pretty boy QBs from the West Coast allowed. We need a QB with true grit, not some pansie ass who racks up great stats against shitty competition. Sorry Pac 10 fans, but your conference sucks. At least up here in Big 10 country anybody can beat anybody on any given Saturday( ie Northwestern U beating NU last Sat or Purdue beating OSU this Sat)

I think a long term project should be a total rebuild of the secondary. With that said, I would try to extend Landry to something reasonable that doesn't commit the Redskins for more than a year or two. I think you look at the contracts of Hall and Atogwe and try to determine what sort of production you are getting and if it's worth it to have either back next year. I would be totally okay with Wilson, Landry, and a bunch of new faces next season. But I don't think we should cut people just to cut people, I think we need to consider the production against the cost.

We need more depth on the DL. We can probably get away with ignoring that position early in the draft, but not late. Just getting Jarvis Jenkins back isn't going to completely fix the depth issues.

Offensively, I'd like to get someone to pair with Hankerson to threaten teams on the outside. But the real job should be to come away with a right tackle, a running back, and a quarterback in the first four rounds of the draft. If you have to rely on the current group of receivers for another year, you can likely get away with it.

You seem to evaluate college qb's very well. Who do you see the best fit for the Skins..... Other than Luck... Barkley, Jones or RG3?

might want to take foles off your list then. plays for arizona and looks like sunshine from remember the titans. same with kellen moore since hes from the west coast and doesnt play in a strong conference. barkley is a great qb prospect, any particular reason you wouldn't want him?

Trade for Andrew Luck at all costs. I mean like a Ditka move, trade away the entire draft and throw in next year's 1st rounder if you have to. If impossible, then prioritize as follows:

- Franchise QB with mobility, if available in draft
- Wide Receiver
- Right Tackle
- Guard

Schneed,

Too many quality guys in this coming draft to give up the farm for one QB. Also, the Skins need a ton of new players to at least add depth if not become future starters. Luck is a great QB, but was somewhat exposed against USC, and really exposed Sat night against Oregon. Those two teams were Stanford's only real opponents all year. Washington is a good team, but not elite. RGIII, Tannehill, Foles, Moore, and Keenum are all first round worthy. Oops, forgot about Landry. Guys like Dan Persa and the kid from Wisconsin could be picked up in the mid to later rounds to get a bona fide backup. Beck is toast, and I would sign Rex to another one year deal.

I don't watch college football so rather than talk about individuals I'll talk positions we need upgrading (spoiler-it's almost all of them)

QB-We've got to draft one in the 1st round and sign a free agent as well. Rex and Beck cannot be on this roster come this spring. Neither has shown any reason to continue as Redskins. I was disappointed we didn't sign Leinart, Matt Flynn is an option this offseason.

RB-Another area we whiffed on this offseason. We need playmakers badly and they were available but we stayed with Torrain and picked Helu. I was high on him early on but his propensity for being down on the 1st hit and lacking ability to make people miss doesn't make me think he's a full time starter. I liked Hightower ok but he wasn't 'special' and coming off of torn ACL/MCL I'm thinking pass on counting on him. Bring him back but as a replacement for Torrain, I'm over him.

WR-If we don't try all that we can to make a huge splash here, meaning trying to sign DeSean Jackson or Vincent Jackson or trading for a WR that will be a major failing. This is the only other position I'd be OK drafting instead of a QB in the 1st round next year.

OL depth-I may be in the minority in being ok with our starting OL. We were moving the ball pretty well early on with the starters prior to injuries and changes. We need to get some quality players that won't represent a huge dropoff when injuries occur.

DL depth-Add a player or two in the middle rounds but this unit is decent.

LB depth-Rak and Kerrigan are keepers.. Riley has some potential as a #2. It's unpopular but they should look for an upgrade to Fletcher. He's not getting younger, faster or taller. He's a major liability in pass defense. McIntosh is done.. We need a free agent and a draft pick here.

DB-D. Hall, gone. Doughty, gone. Otogwe, ehh. Landry, ehh. Barnes, GTF out. This unit needs a complete overhaul.

ST-Fire Danny Smith, cut Banks and let Paul handle PR/KR duties.

I wonder if the Redskins are having financial issues. I'm all for financial restraint after the Haynesworth foolishness and the previous wasted contracts but we've got to be a player in free agency next year instead of sitting it out like we did the prior two offseasons.
