He is a great leader, and with a defense as young as ours, we NEED him. I want to see him retire as a Redskin (eventually).

Gregg Williams agrees to join Rams staff | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/01/16/gregg-williams-agrees-to-join-rams-staff/)

I was a person that thought that because of Fletcher's history and respect for GW that he might entertain an offer from NO, that is if a whole bunch of other stuff happens first (i guess i should have tweeted "Fletcher to the Saints VERY LIKELY".....).

Now with GW moving to St. Louis i dont think we have much to worry about. Besides having played in St Louis, i doubt Fletcher would want to start over with another team thats rebuilding. Hopefully this makes it easier for us to sign him sooner rather than later.

I am going to tell you guys, I love London Fletcher. But if he wants the 7.1 million we payed him this year, we dont need him. Where have we really gone with him. I am sure we can get a young LB for 4 to 5 million and use the overage to help pay for another corner.

You are right... We don't need a guy that was #1 in tackles in the ENTIRE NFL and the emotional leader on our defense. PSHHH, who needs that?

LOL, I just read a post in another thread where the poster was crying about the terrible treatment Carlos received from the Skins FO.
NOW I read that we should should unload a guy that represents...produces.... IS the QB of the D..Hardcore RedSkin.....WTF?

Sign him but I also saw that D'qwell Jackson will be a free agent he is a fletcher clone and former maryland alumn. He would be a great second option

From what I hear, the Eagles will make Fletcher an offer in free agency. [Aside: If ever there were a team in need of linebackers and leadership from the linebacker position, it would have to be the Eagles.]

What is most interesting about that is that the Eagles have sworn off signing free agents over 30 years old - - and Fletcher can barely see 30 years old in the rear view mirror.

I have NO idea what kind of offer they will make or if it would even be tempting, but stand by for the contacts to be made...

As Deion would say, PAY DA MAN. Don't even let him get to free agency. F that shit. If the Redskins f this up, they deserve whatever comes their way. I don't have a single reason as to why he should not be resigned.

When I think of the Redskins these days London Fletcher comes to the top of my mind. He is the leader of this team and a guy who works his ass off day in and out. I hope we can keep quality players and guys like Fletcher. He is a TRUE Redskin.
