By the time it would take to get him to play a bit faster, it'd probably be too late. It's like others have said, we really do have to put this on Shanny for knowingly going into the season with Grossman and Beck as the main options at qb. I do believe that they felt strongly if they improved the team around the qb, then it wouldn't put as much pressure on him. Either way, we're stuck with them for the rest of the season. Just be patient, and know that the savior is on the way.
I'm pretty sure I implied this heavily in the last section of my long sentence.

Add Banks to the smackdown for making some poor decisions.

I was simply taking the long way of saying, I concur.

Bullee DAT. I was actually rooting for Niles Paul to break one on his return so we'd have justification for cutting Banks. Is it me or does he look slower and not as decisive as he was last year in deciding where to go?

The announcers pointed out that the safeties were playing 10 yards from the line. That's total disrespect to the opposing QB. I hate to say I was right about Beck but I was dead on. He's a bum. We all kinda wanted to believe in him based off his pre season games but that's what it is. Pre season. He had a good game and everyone wanted to crown the guy. A lot different when people actually start game planning. He can't read defenses, has no deep ball, is too quick to check the ball down and doesn't let plays develop, he's just awful and so are the Shanahan's for shoving this guy down the fans throats.

Proof that long sentences are simply not read in full. I must remember to keep them short. My professional writing class prof made it a big point to keep them short. :laughing-

Injury might have made him slower. But yeah, his mentality has become more of "must break the long one" instead of "take whatever yards I can". The former attitude is ultimately counterproductive since it makes him hesitate too much. That in turn makes it easy pickings for the coverage team.

Well you and me both, I too am a culprit of writing out long drawn sentences that might be better off summed up in a few short words.

I think that is definitely the case. Whenever you hear him in an interview, he's always saying how he needs to start breaking big returns. He obviously knows that the longer he goes without breaking big returns the more we're going to be an advocate of cutting him. When it's probably that same attitude that's killing him in the first place.

It's time for Mike Shanahan to stop making excuses for Beck. If John Beck doesn't put together his first solid game, we'll see Rex Grossman again somewhere down the line. But Beck is Mike Shanahan's handpicked guy. Beck is the QB that Shanahan had so much blind faith in this past off season that they didn't even select not one QB in the NFL draft and didn't acquire a QB through free agency. Now, after three straight starts we have to asks, how is Beck working out?
Beck rushes his reads. He overthrows wide open receivers. While he doesn't make poor decisions with the football a lot, he holds on to the ball for too long. His scrambling ability is decent, but from a scale from one to 10, Beck is definitely a 3 based on what I've seen of him against the Panthers, Bills, and 49ers.
