I don't understand how any defensive position can be among the top three needs on this team. I think we could always find depth on defense, but as a unit they just need to improve on somethings. I think having a competent offense will cure any defensive ailments. As much as I've criticized the defense, they constantly have to play the short field, spend a lot time on the field, and they rarely get to play with the lead.

And if we go QB this year, I REALLY want one to work out for once. I don't want serviceable, I don't want a bust, I want to get someone who can be an above average starter for us for years.

Sure, that's obvious, but it's been SO long. :(

first and foremost is OL. Our starters arent all that good and we have zero depth there. 2nd is QB.

WR
OL

Are our top 3 BY Far.. We have no talent at WR it's crazy to think we can win games with these guys we have now

I think it's fair to say the strong majority of people here think QB is 1st priority. I would ask what are the priorities after that?

And other positions do matter, IMO. For example, Andy Dalton wouldn't be as successful as he is right now without AJ Green. The Bengals lost a lot at WR and and they had a plan (risky as it was) to get a strong starter at QB and WR.

That is the kind of stuff I would like to see.

1. QB (draft 2)
2. New Starting Guard or Center
3. ILB
4. CB (need a nickel or a starter to move Josh Wilson to nickle)
5. 1# WR

I do agree that OL should be next. I think if we can keep our current draft slots we can ACTUALLY continue to rebuild. I loved our draft this year and think since we have tons of picks that really haven't been traded away, we can draft some top tier linemen after our first pick on a QB.

QB

then "offensive playmaker";) someone, anyone that can put some fear into an opposing team.

I would add, I might not want to move up to get Luck, cost is too high, I wouldn't mind if they traded a few lesser picks (maybe both our 4th's) to get back into the late first round. Would have to see how the draft is panning out.

I know the qb market loooks good, but what about WR's? lotta depth or whole lotta nothin?
