Problem is Rex gets rid of the ball by throwing it to the other team. LOL

Fans are so quick to pull the trigger, but never in positive way. Had we won 23-0 yesterday there would probably not have been any "We need to lock up Beck long term! "Kyle has to be named the official successor now!!!" "What are good hotels in Indianapolis? I'm booking my tickets for the Super Bowl TODAY!!!!" "Whatever Fred Davis makes we should triple it now!!!!" threads. But when they lose it's a fire sale.

Its more like a garage sale at a trailor park. Just looking for a little consistencey, well I've got my wish cause the skins consistantly lose. BTW did anyone ever notice Hassnots D track record, everywhere he has gone something bad has happened.

How much OL depth do teams really have? I you lose two starters and it's pretty inevitable you're going to have some start some playing some retreads or inexperienced guys.

Yeah but we cut bait with a guy like Artis Hicks for who? 7th round rookies? I understand we want youth, but keeping 8 or 9 receivers at the expense of O-line depth when the guys we have are so bad/young is not smart. And we're seeing it fully exposed now. And those are Mike's decisions.

Problem is OL really offer nothing other than depth when they're not starting. Meaning you can't use OL for special teams like you can with skill players. And so, do you keep an Artis Hicks or do you keep a guy like Maurice Hurt who can hopefully be developed?

It's a fine line in my opinion. You have to be prepared for injuries but you can't really plan your team expecting so many guys to get hurt.

Can't call for a youth movement and then lament letting someone like Hicks go.

For whatever reason, I feel this Redskin team is much better than what they showed the last three games. We don't need to talk about the Buffalo Bills game anymore. What more needs to be said? What matters now is what Mike Shanahan does to correct this 3 game skid.

If the LT Locklear is more suited at right tackle, then they need to switch Jamaal Brown to left tackle(where Brown is more suited) and place Locklear at right tackle. Eric Cook is a bum. They should move Montgomery back to center and put one of the reserve tackles at left guard. Anything worth building some cohesion would be better than reliving the comic relief effort seen yesterday.

Torain had 8 carries for a anemic 14 yards? That's crazy! A different combination on the line of scrimmage may very well prove a much more effective result on the football field.

You know, I've beaten the whole "rebuilding" drum for a while now, too. But I think I'm done with that. I know Shanahan was handed a pile of dogsh*t when he took over this team. Fair enough. But there are plenty of teams that go from very poor one year to playoff caliber the next. Look no further than this week's opponent. San Fran was a bad team last year. They're 6-1 and a near shoe-in to win their division at this point. And they're doing it with Alex Smith and for the most part a no-name offense. Sure their D is solid, but still. They're 6-1.

Shanahan has had his hands on this team for nearly two years. The defense seems to be heading the right direction, but the offense seems to be getting worse each week.

It was Mike and Kyle's decision to ride with the Rex/Beck train. Fail. It was their decision to ride with this garbage O-line bereft of any depth to speak of. Fail.
I know we're 3 wins "better" than the worst teams in the league after week 8, but I don't think we're really too far away from the St Louis and Miami's of the world.

We haven't had a franchise QB since, who, Joey Sunshine? Until we get one, it will be the same thing over and over, year after year.

I'll bet the teams that appear to be turning the corner haven't neglected their offensive lines for more than a decade. San Fran spent two first round choices on interior linemen a year or so ago. Remember, before Trent Williams, there were ZERO O-linemen selected in the first two rounds of the draft since Chris Samuels. We're seeing the results. Allen and Shanahan just haven't had enough drafts to assemble the line they really want.

We need youth, but depth too. I don't love Artis Hicks or anything, just an example.

I'm just disheartened at the overall lack of effort and fire in most of the last 3 games. We're going backwards and getting beaten physically and mentally.

These players were all talking about how this season had a different feel. Well, let's see it fellas. Looks like the same crap to me.

Was it just me or did we seem to lack effort yesterday? I can say with all the loses I have seen over the past 10 yrs I always felt the players gave the effort. Yesterday I did not come away with that feeling.
