This move gives me a little more faith in the coaches. I sometimes feel like MS and KS are stubborn as hell and you know they wanted it to work out with Rex to show how smart they are with choices. Glad they can do what's best. Because with Beck, we might be getting the same thing as Rex, but maybe not. With Rex, we know exactly what's going to happen. 50 percent decent games, 50 percent horrible.

So we got our starting QB for Doug Dutch.
I don't know whether to cheer for a brilliant personnel move or to cry because we have a Doug Dutch-quality starting QB.

One (of many) things that worry me about Beck was the scramble where he fumbled the ball. I mean Holy Cow, nobody touched him, he just knocked it loose himself. I guess I believe we will see 1-3 turnovers a game with Beck at QB, just hope his mobility makes up for those ones.

Agreed. In my eyes both of our QB's are potential turnover machines.

Where are the bells and rays of sunshine sneaking through the clouds while making this announcement?
The Book of John has begun!
John Beck will be the next morman QB in the NFL to go to the SUPER BOWL!
He will have as many touchdowns as he has wives

They had to make this move. I know guys supported Rex, he may be a great guy and all, but 18 turnovers here in 8 starts? C'mon man.
Clearly from past posts, we both seen this coming. And to be honest, I don't believe Rex had the majority of the locker room so I don't think it will be a interruption or that big of a loss for the few that have voiced their opinion on keeping Rex.
I bet most of the players are as excited as we are to see what Beck can do in a starting position with the surrounding cast of talent.
He will change the dynamics of our offense. Between his mobile abilities plus his quick reads added to a trio of great RB's I see our offense moving much faster and confusing Defenses a little more with less telegraphing.
Now will it be enough to change the W/L column? Thats a wait and see but I for one am very excited to see Beck get a chance. He has been extremely professional in the way he handled being #2. He kept himself prepared week after week for the nod. He deserves this opportunity.

A better question: does McNabb make the HOF? If you only look at his body of work at Philly you could make a case.
No. He had a Bernie Kosar-type career. One of the better QBs in the game while he was at his peak, but never got over the hump. His teams were close to the Super Bowl most years, but never won at the end.
Kosar is not in the HOF, McNabb won't be either...at least any time soon.

Is Hightower better than Holliday?
I think we took advantage of several teams. Allen and Shanahan do know how to build teams. It can't be done overnight though.

He fumbled a lot I believe back in 2007 as well. 7 times in 4 games, or something like that. Can't let that happen
