maybe u wanna retract this.one...
cuz.Carson didn't do shit for cincy in the post season really... he also did it with two great recievers .. mcnabb had what.. t.o for 3/4 a year? ... they don't compare at their peaks at all IMO ... and I hate the mcscabbYou're right that they don't compare:

McNabb's done it for a long time. But Palmer 2005-2007 was one of the three best quarterbacks in football. Clearly. Something that McNabb never was. If Palmer had great receivers, why has no Palmer receiver ever done anything outside of Cincinnati? Are the Bengals that great of an organization that puts it's great players in positions to succeed?

In all of this, has anyone talked to Carson to see if he is even interested in playing for the Raiders? Is the trade contingent upon Carson accepting the trade and willing to play for Raiders?
Also, Carson is only 31, but he has the body of a 36 year old QB. Many injuries and lost games with injuries through out his career. Not an iron man by any stretch.

This is Palmer in his prime. McNabb in his prime:

We're talking roughly an 1,000 yard difference/season.

ive just realized how bad this trumps our McNabb move big time. Thank god for the Raiders

IMO I'm not buying numbers, I prefer results over stats.

even he was a choke artist ... body of work for me is much greater in the long run for the loser from Philly .. but Carson could change all that in the next few years ..

Well at least the Raiders have a reason to be a win-now team. We had no business trading for a QB last season, unless that QB was Brees, Manning, Rodgers, or Brady. As I said, this Raiders trade will be more of a disaster than our trade for McNabb if it fails. As for now, we have to wait and see what happens.

Because all I did was post a page full of 'results.' That's the only thing I'm judging on here. It's not like I posted a scouting report on McNabb's mechanics vs. Palmer's mechanics, something that is also not close.

With this deal, Oakland doesn't have a draft pick until the 5th round next year.
