Wow - if he's losing arm strength what does Brunell have! ;)
Is it his year?Daseal 01-10-2005, 08:51 AM Wow - if he's losing arm strength what does Brunell have! ;) MTK 01-10-2005, 09:20 AM From what I heard on ESPN radio this morning Favre was going to announce his retirement last night in the postgame press conference, he went in to Sherman's office to tell him and Sherman had to talk him out of it and told him to take a few weeks to think about it. With what he's gone through this year I guess it's not hard to believe. cpayne5 01-10-2005, 10:15 AM Yeah, they said he was very emotional and wanted to hang it up right there. In the end, I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed or retired. MTK 01-10-2005, 11:39 AM I would love to see Favre go out on top so I really hope he comes back for one more at least. TheMalcolmConnection 01-10-2005, 12:06 PM Yeah, I mean yesterday was no real example of just how great of a player he is. Favre IS known to throw the errant pass here and there and once he gets rattled he kind of tosses it up for anyone. He's one of the best to ever play the game, and it always seems that every few games or so, he gives his 3-4 interception performance. It just so happened that the playoffs is not the time or place to do so. EEich 01-10-2005, 12:20 PM I'm being selfish, but I'd love to see him stick around for another year. He still has game. He's a class act and I love to watch him play. During the play yesterday where he was penalized for throwing the pass past the line of scrimmage, he had this huge smile... It made me believe that he still loves the game. He's had a brutal year on the home front... I would understand if he calls it quits. If my wife lost her brother and then immediately was facing breast cancer and chemo treatments, it would be difficult for me not to want to focus on her. Not to mention losing his own father last year. jbcjr14 01-10-2005, 02:00 PM Favre is still in the top 5 QB's in the league. Yesterday was a way off day for him and they still had a chance late in the 3rd before being totally pushed out. He won't go out like this, he will come back and probably hang it up next year. TheMalcolmConnection 01-10-2005, 03:28 PM Maybe we'll see him go out on top when he gets dominated by the Redskins in the NFC Championship game next year? :) skinsguy 01-10-2005, 04:42 PM I think with all that has happened to Farve off the field, he may decide to hang it up and spend more time with his family. He's still one of THE best QB's of the game, but I can tell his game has been off somewhat this season. He's still 1,000,000 times better than Mark Brunell...lol Redskins_P 01-10-2005, 04:49 PM I'll take a 50 yr old Favre before I take Brunell.. |
