Redskins’ Roy Helu is a different sort of running back - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/redskins-roy-helu-is-a-different-sort-of-running-back/2011/10/13/gIQAEusTiL_story.html) Good story. It will be interesting to see what this kid can do and watching him improve. RedskinsInNYC 10-14-2011, 06:58 PM hmmm. I know the debate over Hall, but I wonder if his being gone might be a good thing this particular week. If he is out, it will keep us from getting burned as we may be less willing to single up on their threats. As I've said, my biggest fear are the big burns, not the dink and dunk that we might see if Hall doesn't play. But I could be wrong ;) Don't know if Kevin Barnes is any better on deep patterns. We need Hall in there to take advantage of the mistakes that Vick hopefully will continue to make. jbcjr14 10-14-2011, 07:00 PM Hall injury could be big this weekend. Hope Buchannon is ready to go! zeesson 10-14-2011, 07:37 PM ok, if you said "some bad luck" that would make sense, but to put all of it on "bad luck" is way off. It's not "bad luck" that has their DEs & OLBs have given up crucial plays by losing outside containment. It's not "bad luck" that Vick has been hit hard many times & it wasn't "bad luck" when Vick threw a ball away at the end of the half last week as the clock ran out & they didn't get a fg attempt. It also wasn't bad luck that Ronnie Brown tries to throw the ball backwards at the goaline. Also, Vick can be seen several times throwing his hands up in frustration while walking off the field. I remember Frank Gore even saying in an interview that the Eagles quit. You NEVER hear athletes accuse other teams of quitting as just part of everyday trashtalk. They usually mean it. SirClintonPortis 10-14-2011, 07:41 PM Luckily we have enough depth so that it won't be disastrous if Hall goes down. Let's see if Vick gets all scared of Kerrigan. zeesson 10-14-2011, 07:46 PM I think some are giving way too much credit to Philly. Sure they have talent at the skill positions but they simply are not playing good fundamental football and they have glaring weaknesses on the OL and in their LB corps. I totally agree. It's as if Philly has taken over the roll of the Cowboys. These so-called analysts go running-off-at-the-mouth in the preseason about how great the Eagles are gonna be; and now, no matter how many games they lose in embarrassing fashion, they will still be considered a "dangerous" team, and "loaded with talent" all the way through week 17, and on into next year. A talented player is one that consistently performs at a high level. The same can be said of a talented team. If you have a bunch of big names on your team that are not performing consistently at a high level, you aren't loaded with talent, you are loaded with big names that used to be talented. These are the same people that thought signing "Prime" after his prime was a great idea, because he was so "talented". 53Fan 10-14-2011, 09:04 PM Good Roy Helu read. I expect greatness from him. |
