Porter no way. We need a quiet workmanlike free agency this year. No splashes! Edwards hands do scare me enough to not want him at 9. The last thing the skins need is more suspect hands on the WR corp. I do think the skins need a burner at WR, but I would rather trade down and still be able to draft a WR high and someone else to fill another need.

With all of this Randy Moss talk, I might as well just say it.

Why not just go after Plaxico and use the draft pick on OL or DE?

As no expert, I'll defer to better knowledge, but out of Clark, Monk and Sanders, only Monk was a first round pick. The other 2 came from small colleges, and Clark even had to go to the USFL to get playing time (OK not a great argument considering some of the other ex-USFL players! :)).

This makes me think, consider what we have given up for Coles and Jacobs? Should we really be looking at drafting so high for a speedy WR with good hands? Should we be looking at the FA market for a marquee WR? I say no to both and look in the lower rounds, or trade down, for a WR and use the picks that matter for a blue chip DE or C.

Edward's scouting report does remind me a lot of Gardner's when he first came out.

"Also has the break away speed to get past the secondary."
I don't think you can say that about Gardner.

For a guy his size Gardner has good speed. Edwards is faster though. Let's not forget Edwards was in the running for the heisman this year after about 4-5 games. He slowly dwindled away. I think both receivers are good, but I think the FA push (1-2 of em) and resignings/restructurings will really shape how we draft.

gimme mike williams, hes got the size and hands that the skins are lacking, coles should have had 100 catches this year, but he had butter fingers most of the year and dropped a lot of balls, I'm not concerned with speed so much but someone who has the hands to catch every ball which in turn will help ramsey build his confidence

You might not be concerned with speed, but I think that will be a top priority for Gibbs and the staff when they look to upgrade the WR corps.

I think speed is a big reason we won't see Gardner and McCants back and instead see more of Jacobs and Thrash.

Williams should definetly go before Edwards. I think Kiper tokes on the pipe a little much. As far as Porter goes, no way. Very overrated, regardless where he is from.

Skip the WRs. Grab some linemen.
