Good problem to have. I like all of them. I lean toward Hightower and Helu as first options, but man, did Torian have a great game yesterday.

MTK 10-03-2011, 10:39 AM Torain ran like a man on a mission. Can he stay healthy? That's always the question with him. Hightower has been a bit underwhelming so far. I say open up the competition in the week of practice leading up to the game. TH is still a valuable guy for 3rd downs. Regardless of who starts, it's likely all 3 guys will be featured in the rotation going forward. And that's a nice situation to have. SBXVII 10-03-2011, 10:54 AM I chose Torain but honestly I want whoever is hot to be running. I'm guessing the reason Torain is running so well is because either Hightower is a little banged up or teams are game planning around Hightower and when Torain comes in their not sure of his tendencies. I'd start one and for the 1st quarter and if he's doing well let him stay in, if he's not running well or picking up much yardage then send in the other. Heck whats wrong with putting both in and making teams try and figure out which direction the ball is going. Longtimefan 10-03-2011, 11:06 AM I voted for the Redskins best RB. Redskins’ Ryan Torain makes case for starting job with strong showing vs. Rams - The Insider - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/post/redskins-ryan-torain-makes-case-for-starting-job-with-strong-showing-vs-rams/2011/10/03/gIQAZjYBHL_blog.html) Chico23231 10-03-2011, 11:16 AM Kinda bothersome that who is gonna be the starter at Running Back takes away from other glaring issues such as poor QB play, our inability to get the ball down field, and lack of production by any receiver not named Gaffney and Moss. Think that is where media, fans need to focus. Its been a proven fact that Shanny gets production from alot of guys in the backfield and we have also shown HT, Torain and Helu are all talented guys who can get the job done. MTK 10-03-2011, 11:17 AM I think we're all pretty focused in on Grossman. Perhaps a litle too much. I wasn't aware this is the only thread on this, or any other, message board. Matty will have to look into that and see what's up Chico23231 10-03-2011, 11:26 AM I wasn't aware this is the only thread on this, or any other, message board. Im focused on 15/29 143 4.9 per attempt 2 Ints against a bottom 5 defense in the league, especially when Kyle let everyone know first half what the game plan was and how it wasnt executed. Running games been great and it will continue to be regardless of starter. MTK 10-03-2011, 11:42 AM Not condemming the thread, question or any of that. Notwithstanding the QB's pedestrian numbers yesterday, the question has been raised.....Who should be the starting RB, Hightower, Torian or Helu? poll mods?? ps sorry I didn't see the poll underway |
