I don't think Rex is great, but I don't think you gain much if anything by bringing in Beck at this point. Rex is a middle of the pack guy. Always was, probably always will be. His stats at this point of the season are comparable to guys like Big Ben, M. Sanchez, Flacco, Kolb...

some of u guys act like Rex is a great QB.. He's not so why would we not bench him?

KS needs to realize that Grossman and Beck are not great QBs and that our offense needs a running game.

You get the bootleg and a guy who can get the ball downfield. Rex's play lately hasn't justified taking out the offenses other staple play. Beck wouldn't have to do much to match if not exceed the play we've seen lately out of Rex.

Plus I am scared to death of Trent Cole getting pressure on Rex next week. Cole is playing at the same level as Dwight Freney during the mid to late 2000's.

Grossman is a placeholder.
Beck could be a placeholder.
I'll go with the one that has a few wins this year.

We're 3-1 and that's great -- that being said, Rex has played pretty badly and the defense has had to bail him out. Kyle's playcalling has been pretty suspect as well so both should be put under the microscope this bye week.

Actually it seems more like a fear of if Rex gets benched we can never go back to him. This isn't baseball people and like I've said since training camp, and many times today, the advantage of having two journey men QB's is you can bench one of them and not cause a huge S storm in the media. Sure we would love to have an actual franchise QB but the hand we got now gives us flexibility. I say we use it.

Dumb idea, and who cares about the media.

I think it was Bill Parcells who said if you think you have two quarterbacks, you don't even have one...something like that. You don't switch QBs unless there is a reason. 3-1 going into they bye leading your division with a QB that has decent but not outstanding stats is a move that will lose the team and probably more games than not in the future.

Rex is our guy unless he gets hurt.

For once I agree with Alvin Walton.

I don't understand why people are suprised at Grossman's style of play so far. In the words of Jamie Dukes, he is what he is. You're gonna get some good, you're gonna get some bad. Right now Grossman has gotten us to 3-1. As long as we win games I don't see why he needs to be benched.

I think its a lot of curiosity. Seeing what Beck can do is what fuels me really. It's like alright, we see Rex, wonder what this other guy can do? I mean granted you shouldn't take a team with momentum and just totally change the dynamic, which is why I'm torn and think that a switch should only be a consideration during the bye week and something sitting in the coaches head's down the road in case inconsistency keeps up and not a knee jerk move.

Also starting Beck against a divisional foe next week would be a bad move anyway.

I think a lot of this is frustration (for me anyway), that I think this offense has the ability to really really be good and there's some missing piece and I can't figure out wtf.
