Isn't it a little too early for that in the year?

Davis is not on the field for more than 2 snaps in the highlight reel alone. And the ones where he is on the field they leave him in to max protect. That's not the Cowboys taking him out of the game. That's us taking him out of the game.Went back to the game, play by play. You're very right.

I think this needs an explanation then. Seems like a sub optimal use of personnel.

Since you already spent the time doing it, just how many plays out of the total WAS Davis sitting? :)

Absolutely! At both ends of the spectrum.

I appreciate the acknowledgement GTripp. Perhaps now we can move forward and explore the more pertinent question, which is, why would we purposefully nullify the production of one of our most reliable offensive playmakers in a game of such magnitude?

I'm gonna take a stab at it and guess they kept him in to block because they assume the offensive line would need help blocking the Cowboys great pass rush?

If you needed a pass blocker why not use Cooley, or Sellers, or Paulsen in a similar role. All of those guys are adept pass blockers, and wouldn't detract from our passing game.
