skins89moss 09-29-2011, 06:43 AM The skins haven't been good in the R.Z in 20 years
Our offense has been having trouble scoring points since Norv Turner was fired. Norv sucked as a HC but we did put up points with him.
skins89moss 09-29-2011, 07:01 AM Hey Redskins fans lets stop crying, 1 loss 1 game this season. Damn yes it sucks that we let this game get away from us. But thats why you have to play 4 full quaters of football. On the road you cannot let the team hang around. Our defense played a very good game but did give up a few big runs to Felix Jones. I did not like the 3rd and 21 call but I could not understand why Kerrigan stop rushing Romo and dropped back into coverage. WTF was he thinking at that point. Our O-Line did have problems blocking Ware and Jamal Brown got abused a few times. Next years draft RT, and Guard. The Dallas game is over lets get focused on the Rams who have beaten us the last 2 games we have played them. Rex Grossman's numbers were just as good or bad as Romo's numbers after the game. So stop crying about Rex he not a All-Pro but he can get the job done with a team effort. Special teams have to step it up, no more botched FG's.

Kerrigan had to back off to make sure the TE or RB he ran did not slip into the flat and get a HUGE gain a la Derrick Ward 2008.

skinsguy 09-29-2011, 11:00 AM Hello we did score 1 more TD than the cowgirls. The difference was we blew a fg attempt with the fumbled hold.
That's true. Had that FG attempt not been botched, the 'skins could have won by 1. Funny thing though, I don't hear a lot of bragging coming from the Cowboys fans here at work. I think they know this game was gift wrapped.
CRedskinsRule 09-29-2011, 01:16 PM on the video of 3rd and 21, looks like Fletcher went after the RB for a second, and then full speed towards Romo. I didn't realize Romo was 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage, but if Fletcher had gone straight he would have rushed the throw a bit. Just to be clear I'm not knocking Fletcher, overall it was a good play by dallas...

You say 1 more touchdown than the Cowboys like it meant we were scoring touchdowns all day. We didn't. We scored one touchdown in 3 actual red zone attempts, and the other field goals were from close enough to the redzone that we should've scored. 1 touchdown a game is not a recipe for success. True, if we had made that field goal it would've changed the game, but at the end of the day, if you score touchdowns, you don't have to settle for field goals. Let's not act like we're some offensive powerhouse in the red zone.

I think the way both teams played, there wasn't much to brag about.

Doesn't matter how they won, they won..."gift wrap"or not".There are plenty of good teams out there but there is always an eliment of luck in anything.I'd rather be lucky then good any day!
skinsfaninok 09-29-2011, 05:28 PM Idk about being lucky then good but I do agree that good teams will catch breaks at times.

kerrigan said they thought they were going to try a screen pass so right after he initially rushed he dropped back . . . he gave a pretty good breakdown of what he was thinking on the play in his postgame interview.
