Chico23231 09-27-2011, 01:10 AM Like I said earlier last week. No matter how many pro bowlers they have or injuries they have AND no matter how many pro bowlers we have or wins we have, its a rivalry game, and throw out the records because it goes down to who does better with the ball when it matters most. This game clearly was anyones game.
Our Defense played great. Our Offense did not. There offense was horrendous. Their defense was great + they have an unblockable all pro OLB who will play better at home than at our place. Our coaches got a reality check after tonight. Our players got a reality check after tonight, especially on offense. And our fanbase got a reality check after tonight. Its over. We can't replay this game. We have a loss. We're not going undefeated, Oh well. Regroup get a gameplan going for St. Louis, don't trash talk until we're a scary good team. Its one game for Rex.
plus a million...hats off to the d on the road tonite. D stepped it up big time outside of Hasslett idoit all out blitz. proud the way our D played tonite.
GTripp0012 09-27-2011, 01:10 AM Rob Jackson and LaRon Landry both lit up Tony Fiametta on that one run in the fourth quarter.
The only problem was Fiametta didn't have the ball, Felix Jones did. And we don't have anyone who can hit Jones in the open field.
Felix Jones rushed for 117 tonight. Holy crap that couldn't happen without missed assignments at the line. Physically, we dominated them up front. But if you don't know your assignments, all that weightlifting is a waste of time.

I agree 100%
Jackson was particularly bad imo, it's like he wasn't even thinking about the possibility of felix getting the ball.
skinsfaninok 09-27-2011, 01:14 AM REX GROSSMAN - Off all night, had a couple nice throws but thats it.. HORRIBLE INT to LEE and of course he fumbles when game is on the line... I like Rex and think he's better than Beck but CMON MAN.
KYLE SHANAHAN- Bad play calling in the 2nd half for sure, no attempt to run at all SMH
D-HALL- Shut down Bryant all nite until.........
The whole team for not beating a Half Ass Dallas team.. BAD BAD loss
Defensewins 09-27-2011, 01:14 AM Crash landing back to reality. Grossman is not and should not be a professional athlete. Orakpo, drink your damn gatorade you.....
We lost to a very injured and weakened Dallas team. Their center has premature snap. Four times! Embarrassing. How did we lose that game?
Beemnseven 09-27-2011, 01:20 AM No delaying it this time huh?
Grossman: He had an average game, but honestly he needs to have better pocket awareness. Every time he gets sacked I get scared that the ball is coming out, because he fumbles a lot.
Playcalling: Minor things here and there. Going fullback dive on two consecutive third and ones = bad idea. Abandoning the run (even though it wasn't working) is not smart. On defense the big one is the all out blitz on third down that left Dez Bryant one on one with D.Hall. Even I know that's a battle we don't win.
Offensive line: not just Jammal Brown getting manhandled by D.Ware, the run blocking was not there for the 2nd time in 3 games. Is it a lack of talent? Because the coaching scheme should be effective. It makes it easier to abandon the run when you're not effective running the ball.
People who keep blaming the media: I don't think I noticed this as much as SS did, but one question: Did the media suit up and play the game? No? Are you sure?
For me, O-line is at the top of my sh*t list for this game. They absolutely couldn't open up any holes -- way too many 1, 2, 3 yard gains. When you're up 16-12 with 5 minutes to play, you HAVE to grind out a drive. I like Kyle's aggressive playcalling, but when the running lanes aren't there, he obviously knew he had to get the yardage somehow.
He should have made more of a commitment to running the ball, but how can he when the guys up front just aren't making the plays?
skinsfaninok 09-27-2011, 01:22 AM Had we not botched a F ing kick we would have won
skinsfaninok 09-27-2011, 01:23 AM BTW I give Romo credit guy is tougher than I thought plus Clutch drive right there, it sux though
Swarley 09-27-2011, 01:23 AM and yet Trent Williams was fantastic.
GTripp0012 09-27-2011, 01:23 AM I know this is a smackdown thread, but how good was our defense independent of their blown assignments? Jason Garrett, a former QB and hired offensive mind, chose to punt a very make-able 4th and 7th because he didn't have a play to get seven yards.
That's mind boggling. You have Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, and Felix Jones on the same field and you don't have a play that can get you seven yards? You're being dominated.
Before we vilify Haslett for being figured out by the sixtieth call, consider how dominant he was schematically in the first 59. The offense just has to do more than it has the last two weeks, or we can't finish above .500.
More Helu, less Hightower? That's the first change I would make.
