G-one, you should probably read this forum, or at least two posts before making sweeping generalizations that aren't true... I mean, you don't even need to go outside this thread to see that everyone here thinks rex is either average or replaceable (did you notice the start john beck thread?)

come on, man.

.....no.

look Vick was super man....last year,Romo.....great stats till he hits the playoffs,Rex.....well. Eli when he's on he is one of the best but....when he's bad........it's ugly. TBQR means ....nothing,look you guys think Rex is king ...why, becuase you are WINNING and that is the only stat that matters.

Whoa whoa whoa, slow your role there. I'm just gonna assume you saw Jonny5dicky's posts way back in preseason because I'm pretty confident most of this board doesn't think either Beck or Grossman are the future here. Grossman's just an average qb.

I will say this, the weekly TQBR's of (Un)Sexy Rexy has been pretty good at showing how Rex has been playing. An amazing first game, a so-so second game, a stinker, and one slightly better than the stinker. The standard deviation for his tqbr must be insanely large...

It's better than what the qbr would say: amazing first game, so-so second game, so-so third game, complete ass the fourth game.

But this is what I mean, reminds me of the 2000 Ravens with Dilfer. So what if Rex is so-so .....your words not mine....he's winning, becuase at the end of the day there is only one stat that matters did you win the game and if it 's yes then he's a good QB.Pretty sure Kelly or Marino would give up their stats for a ring.

TQBR is one of the better metrics that factors wins, fourth quarter comebacks and pivotal plays. This isn't your father's QB Rating, therefore it most definitely matters in this discussion.

Why does a 4th quarter comeback mean a great QB,....example Giants and eagles last year.....the D and special teams lost that game .....Vick didn't win it all by himself.

NFL - Week 6 Total QBR Leaders - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7111810/nfl-week-6-total-qbr-leaders)

9.4 TBQR for Rex this week. Yeouch. (and it's totally accurate)

And Rodgers is starting to pull away.

Does TBQR take into account Ints that bounce off the chests or hands of receivers?

If not, we have found an obvious flaw.

I doubt interceptions are weighted that heavily. It does seem to have problems with small sample sizes though, but that's the deal with any sort of grading. And his QBR is just as bad, so you'll have to debate that stat too. ;)
