Would love for us to knock the snot out of the Cowf---ers. It is going to be a battle no doubt.

NFL NETWORK just came out and said it was a collapsed lung. Pneumothorax. Ta daaaa.

It takes up to 2 weeks to heal and were not talking about a QB who has to worry about getting hit again and again. They would be smart to sit him for about 2 weeks then evaluate him. Then maybe think about sitting him another week or 2.

"Additional testing on the fractured rib of Tony Romo today revealed that he also has evidence of a pneumothorax -- a condition that is not unusual for an injury such as the one Romo sustained in the game in San Francisco," the team said Monday in a release. "Varying degrees of a pneumothorax can heal in differing time frames. The Cowboys medical team will continue to monitor the situation and conduct additional tests as the week progresses."

If Romo plays with the injury, he would not be the first Cowboys quarterback to do so. In the 1968 Playoffs, Cowboys quarterback Don Meredith played at the Browns in the Eastern Conference Championship Game after spending time in the hospital that week with a punctured lung and pneumonia.

Meredith had 3 interceptions in that game, completing only 3 of 9 passes for 42 yards before Tom Landry pulled him, replacing him with Craig Morton. It was Meredith’s last game.


Not sure if Meredith retirement was because of the injury or old age. but I doubt the Cowboys would want the same to happen to Romo.

Doesn't make a difference if Romo is in or out. Kitna can get the job done. Even if Jones is hurt, big deal. He isn't a top RB IMHO. Now if Miles Austin is out, that does take away a big play threat. This is the same situation we usually found ourselves with regards to the Gmen. Banged up badly, only to be able to come back and beat us. I think we win, but I wouldn't count our chickens before they hatched. Kitna for Romo isn't that big of a trade off in my opinion, and that is the most likely of the scenarios, meaning Romo is the only one who loses playing time. Our run D is fairly tight, so I think the Dallas running game will be held in check for the most part.

Would karma go against us if i hoped for Romo to have fractured rectum to add to his ribs if he plays next week? :)

If we shut down their running game we will be fine , assuming we get into the endzone a few times ...... DALLAS SUCKS !!!
