Crusty, at first I thought you sounded like a typical conspiracy theorist, then I remembered it's Jerra we're talking about; he's definitely a skilled spinster. I see your point.

What I wonder is how much Romo wanting to play will factor in; will Garrett (& Jerra) let him play if he says he can? I think he'll want to play for fear of losing his job. Kitna did a good job for them last year. Regardless, I see lots of blitzing coming their way next monday!

Freddy, I am your typical conspiricay theorist, you should hear my take on extra value meals and prescription drugs but this not the time to stir up that. Anyway i am 100% convinced there is merit to this one!!!

I hate the cowboys as much as anyone, but I dont want romo to end up getting killed because one of or pass rushers collapses his lung. If romo plays I'm actually going to be worried for him every time he drops back. I would love to beat a cowboys team with a healthy starting quarterback, but he's not healthy. Cowboys need to sit him if his life could be in jeopardy.

If he has pneumothorax even if minor would require 3 weeks minimum for the body to reabsorb the air around the lung and at least 1-2 week to scar over. So I believe the collapsed lung to be all hype and BS at this point.

If his life is in any danger, it does not mater if Cowboys FO wants to start him or not, the NFL will not allow him to play if there is any doubt. If he is out on the field come Monday night, then Im all for our D putting his ass back on the sideline.

^ Not collapsed, punctured.

It will be collapsed if he meets up with Orakpo or Kerrigan this week though. When I first heard about the lung last night, I immediately wondered about pneumonia.

They'd be reckless to let him play. Kitna did a fine job last season and I think he'll take over before year's end, but Jerry Jones will probably through Romo out there this week for the headlines.

I seriously doubt the "conspiracy theory" thing. JJ likes the camera nd spotlight more than he should. But at the end of the day, he is a businessman.

And I can't fathom gambling your 65 million dollar QB if the risk of permanent injury exists.

All reports are the pneumo is very minor. And if it is a displaced rib fracture there is a chance for further injury.

However, the media is reporting that the rib fracture is not a displaced fracture, and if the pneumo has healed enough, they can give him a needle to help with the pain that is expected with a rib fracture.

I'd say he has a 30% chance of playing Monday night.

Question I think the coaches have to answer is if a "limited" Romo is better than a "healthy" Kitna when game time comes around.

And Romo was 12-16 for 201 and a TD AFTER he returned late in the third quarter. That's pretty good for a guy with a broken rib and a hole in his lung.

Not necessarily. (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200512180was.htm)

I'm sure I can find you a dallas beat down game too.

I...DO hate the cowboys, BUT I do not hate Romo. As a matter of fact, I have a lot of respect for him. I would hate to see him get hurt seriously. On the other hand, I want there to be no excuses when......WE KICK THEIR ASSES....those are my thoughts

I'd rather see him throw four picks and fumble two snaps than puke blood but that's just the treehugger in me coming out.

Hey Sandtrap!!! How the heck are ya???? What a cowinkiedink you showing up after a Dallas win and such "heroic performance" by Romo. Whadya think about ol Holly saying that God tapped on Romo's sholder and told him to change the play???

That's why if Romo is on the field Monday night he should expect the Redskins D to be coming at him every play and I will conclude that he is 100% because if the reports are true then there is 100% chance of permanent injury.

Last thing I want to hear is that we beat the Cowboys because of a "limited" Romo. A needle for pain can not prevent a cracked rib from re-penetrating a already penetrated lung.

Lets see how JJ handles business.

I'm here every day. Just because I don't post as often as I used to, does not mean I don't come here to see how my ole buddy Crusty is doing.
