As much as I hate settling for field goals, we could've used those 3 points tonight. Still though there's a multitude of reasons we lost tonight's game, so I'm willing to forgive Rocca on the grounds that's really been his only negative play in 3 games. Just work on it and hopefully we won't see it again.

Hopefully we won't be settling for FGs all the time.

While thinking about Rocca's goof...I just realized, Sundberg is doing a great job on snaps this year. We have not noticed him...which is what we want. He was HORRIBLE last season, but it seems he's really worked hard to improve since last time we saw him.

I coached in HS and college for years and we always put our best sure handed receiver as holder on expts and fg's. Why dont the NFL and major colleges do this? Maybe cause of player absence, injuries, etc.

I don't want Moss being at risk on holds or any special teams position, even punt returning, which he's always been successful with.

A lot of HS teams don't have 53 talented players and often have to improvise to fill every roster spot in the 3 squads. That's why you'll have your TE playing LB too. :D

Id rather have a proven player on your team in a critical spot than some rogue punter. But kickers are sooo much easier to curse at. BTW and just what are the percent of injuries that come from the fg holder?? Im sure its very high.

yeah, the holder gets pummeled on every field goal.....................I dont think ive personally ever seen the holder get into much danger, well, other than when he ****s the hold up and then proceeds to look like he is freaking the **** out all while trying to pick the weirdly shaped ball up, just prior to getting nailed while trying to throw some half assed doomed from birth throw to the back of the nearest linemans helmet.

I think Ive seen em get lit up doing that shit.........
