Mad props to Cam Newton

Adversity reveals character, on that note I am leaving this thread. The vitriol from my fellow tarheel is beyond football.


I'm not the one up here calling a guy who's been caught cheating, stealing, lying, and breaking rules a "Class Guy". Vitriol? I'm sorry you don't like hearing the truth, but what you are in fact trying to do is polish a turd. Don't confuse the guys skills with his off-field issues, which was heavily criticized during the draft period for a reason.

If you want to say he's the real deal? Fine. At least the games can back that up so far. Just don't say he's a class act when in fact his history has proven the exact opposite so far.

I would argue that he played his best game against the Skins. He was mistake free, and surprisingly made great throws to very small windows, not to mention the damage he does with his legs. In the first quarter, he converted a 3rd and 13 deep out to Steve Smith against very good coverage, and at that point, I had a feeling that we were in for a long day.

He wasn't that good passing at AU

He did not steal a laptop (false accusation), what did he lie about? I imagine you meant lieing, because there is nothing wrong with lying unless it's during the middle of a play like Haynesworth. If you even had iota of a clue about this guy, I might would entertain this discussion with you. As it is, you are using blind homerism for this kid as your evidence.

Those are allegations that turned out to have no merit in the end. It's a media hatchet job, just like the media did to Sara Palin with the Glenn Rice scandal.

The deep throw later in the game to Smith was very well thrown, although if OJA is there rather than Doughty I'm not sure that's a completion.
