I like that Cofield has to peep over his shoulder a little bit. This is good.
This is why you keep those damn draft picks. D-line has a bright future.

And I think it's safe to say the staff made the right decision by keeping Truck over Anthony Bryant.

Since my last post was negative, I'd like to add the positives from today:
Rex's performance was great, and most importantly throwing for two TDs in the red zone (which had been an issue with us before). I think Hightower did enough in the running game to open up the passing game. And when it counted, the o-line gave Rex time to throw. Davis was HUGE and I think that we should run two TE sets. Also Moss showed his typical reliability and both Armstrong and Gaffney made some huge catches.
The defense was great, the turnover and score was a huge shift in the game, and the pressure on Manning was what I expected given the state of the Giants o-line. Also, the 4th down stop was huge and they were able to stop the G-men's running game when it counted.
As far as special teams, it was disappointing to see Gano miss the FG. But ST did come up huge with the blocked field and I thought Rocca did a helluva job punting the ball.
I see a lot of good things going for this team, and I hope that as the season progresses they are able to do even better things. The Giants were not their typical self, but a we had an opportunity and took it for the W.

The guy really is good(JPP), but a #4 pick LT should be squashing that though. He's getting abused out there, and it's not going to get any better. I imagine if he continues to struggle, we'll see a flop with the tackles.
Yeah, TW should have handled him. Pierre Paul is a beast but the knock on him is that he is just raw talent. Going up against polished pass rushers like Tuck, Osi, and Ware will be much tougher so Silverback needs to nut up quick.

....there is your problem. This wasn't done by Graziano.
Yeah, I saw that when I re-read the article. The first time I read it I was so incensed that every paragraph began with 'The Giants' that I had to post it here. Visceral reaction lol.

He was simply a monster out there. He MUST be on the field more.
Seriously...time to give him that extention and start the transition of TE1 Fred Davis, TE2 Cooley. We are rebuilding, Fred had a great camp and is moving into his prime. Note Im not calling for Cooley to be traded, cut or whatever.

Also, I can't see why we can't have both of them out there playing. I mean look at the Pats, they use their two TEs very well and both produced for the team last year. I'm just glad to see we have another weapon for Rexy.

Just curious, it shows that Gano missed a FG. how long was the attempt and what happened? is he reverting back to his old self again after winning the job?

39 yard attempt wide right. He just missed it. Good snap, good hold
