So what you guys are saying is that the only way to measure improvement as a team is on the field? Interesting theory, but I won't believe it until the media backs that statement up.

What have we done to deserve any media attention other than have a QB battle between two guys who excite no one outside of Redskins Nation? Sure the drama is gone, but we have done nothing to generate a positive buzz?

We are a 6-10 team with no QB until we prove otherwise. Until we prove otherwise, it should be expected for us to be ranked in the bottom third of the league.

Its those media idiots who have us ranked as one of the 3 worst teams or getting only 3 wins that deserve to be treated with contempt b/c those media guys have clearly done no research (comparing strength of schedule, looking at roster changes, factoring in 2nd year of players in system, etc.).

But you know what? I don't care where they rank us. I just care what the final score is.

What does the final score have to do with anything? It's all about what the power rankings say, those are the true measure of a team's worth.

We don't know for sure that we've made improvements. We made changes, but not necessarily improvements. We'd like to think they did. But the only way to know for sure is on the field

Good point. I was drinking preseason koolaid.

Also, I wasn't really trying to pick on the national media but I guess it came off that way. I recognize that it is difficult to do detailed research on every single team through four preseason games.

Am not posting it for the Skins ranking, but for the fact that the Cowboys lost and still managed to move up 1 in the rankings and are, of course, still 6 slots higher than us. Rabble rabble rabble rabble. Seriously though, I think they moved up because they looked good for the 3 quarters before the 4th lol. Of course, that doesn't mean anything since the 4th quarter is the penultimate quarter, but I'm sure the writers would disagree with me on that.

They looked good even though they lost, the one that I question is the Jaguars at 15 place.

The Cowboys moving up despite losing is a joke, no matter how they looked for three quarters, especially since the Jets moved up as well. And we win one game and move up nine spots? Sorry, I love our team, but that is also a joke. This is another example of how power rankings are full of billfish.

ESPN has us 28th so Fox is actually giving us some love.
