Its unfortunate that CP's and LA's (especially) are so high that they are untradable. It would be great to see what the skins could get for LA and to a lesser extent CP.

Then we can finish in last forever. Before all of you go off about how LaVar is overrated, I'd like to remind you that you wanted my head when I said I would rather have Champ than him. Remember, he saved the 2001 season. skinsguy 01-03-2005, 10:53 AM There is no reason to trade Lavar Arrington nor Clinton Portis. Both are stars and when healthy, play like stars! Lavar is finally in a defense that suits his style and he just happened to sustain a hard injury to comeback with. Lets not send him up the river just yet! The only players I think we could let go are Gardner and Morton....as far as bigger money deals! jdlea 01-03-2005, 10:59 AM I love LaVar, he may be my favorite Redskin and Portis is my second favorite, so excuse my strong opinions about this subject. I mean...who wants players that are actually good? Redskins_P 01-03-2005, 11:08 AM We would be laughingstocks of the league if we traded LaVar and Portis, not just for the kind of players they are, but for the tremendous cap damage we would do. Hell, while we're at it let's just cut Brunell, Barrow, Gardner & Samuels. I'd love to see that cap mess. Matty, we're already the laughingstocks of the league because of the cap mess we'll be in 2006 and not to mention the signing of Brunell. How stupid would we look after giving both Arrington and Portis huge salaries and then trading them? By the way guys this isn't Madden where you can trade whoever you want and not worry about the salary cap. Whatever happened to have some continuity? FRPLG 01-03-2005, 11:33 AM I heard an interesting rumor at the stadium yesterday that George Michael's of channel 4 is starting rumors of a Portis for Larry Johnson trade. Has anyone else heard that? Personally I think it would be terriffic. Johnson is more of the between the tackles back that Gibbs likes. Betts did a great job yesterday. Clinton Portis is not a 'core Redskin' guy. He doesn't want to grind out the hard yards and doesn't have the heart to be on this team. He wants all the glory and only wants big plays not the '2 and 3 yard stuff' as he has stated in the past. What a mistake. You sir are an idiot. offiss 01-03-2005, 11:40 AM Originally Posted by djdunick I heard an interesting rumor at the stadium yesterday that George Michael's of channel 4 is starting rumors of a Portis for Larry Johnson trade. I happen to agree with djdunick's assesment of Portis, I don't agree with the trade proposal though, i do not think Larry Johnson is anything special, he run's behind maybe the best offensive line in the game what do you think he would do behind our offensive line with his attitude that's a powder keg waiting to explode. We should have dealt for Sean Alexander of seattle last year when he was available he can run inside and outside that is what Gibb's really need's. djdunick 01-03-2005, 12:58 PM FRPLJ, So sad that you have to resort to name calling, it really shows off your low IQ. If you have faith in Portis you must be smokin' crack. He can't get us a touchdown in the red zone and doesn't want to run for the hard yards. I've also heard that he has been doing a lot of improvisation. FRPLJ if you don't know what improvisation means go to www. websters.com DJDunick Redskins_P 01-03-2005, 01:04 PM FRPLJ, So sad that you have to resort to name calling, it really shows off your low IQ.
