I've seen reports in three places saying that the Chargers and Dolphins have agreed to a deal sending David Boston to Miami for a sixth round pick and a player to be named later.
"Players to be named later" are rarely All-Pros.
I think some of the posters here need to look carefully at the trading marketplace in the NFL and adjust their thinking.
TO went for a second round pick from the Ravens. Had the Eagles' deal with the 49ers gone through he would have brought James Thrash and a fourth or fifth round pick to SF.
Now David Boston commands a price of a sixth round pick and a "player to be named later".
Lots of folks here proposed trading Rod Gardner to get another first round pick for the Skins. Compare Gardner to Boston or Owens and even allow for the fact that Boston and Owens are sometimes "problem children". Now realistically, what might you get in terms of a trade for Rod Gardner?
My guess is a sixth round pick at the very best.
