My buddy who I played football with in high school tore his ACL and had a piece of his hamstring used to repair it. The doctor told him eventually it should be stronger than it was before........ well he tore that ACL AGAIN 2-3 years later when we were playing flag football. I guess you can't know for sure until you're fully recovered. Or I'm just bad luck, I was there for both tears ...
Stay away from JJ.
Yeah ive had a bad break to some bones that needed 2 surgeries. One doctor told me i will be stronger when healed because of the plates and screws and the other doctor told me im forever compromised. I feel unless you have a doctor thats just straight up with you they will tell you things you want to hear.

You can play this crystal ball game all day....
The fact is that he blew out his knee in a come that does not count.
Player evaluation needs to come in a different form.
Guys get hurt in practice too.
It happens.

Ironically, we shyed away from bowers because of our worries on his knees. Shame to lose him, but next year will be when we start to need him.

honestly I think that for that two down lineman package we have which would feature Bowen and Jenkins, we should have it be Cofield and Bowen, I really think Cofield can stay on the field an extra play, and generate double teams and a pass rush.

Man.. This is a big blow. I actually had Jenkins beating out Carriker by the end of the year. I guess we will need to bring in Daniels. I know the guy is up there in age, but he's still healthy and bench presses a truck

He's only 23 years old. He'll be fine. But in the short term, this sucks. He looked like a real beast who was ready to contribute right from the jump. Oh well. I think it's my fault. I said to my wife yesterday how fortunate we've been so far on the injury front. And now this. Sorry guys.

And what form of player evaluation does your crystal ball suggest?
I don't know, I'm not a 3 million a year NFL coach. They need to figure it out.

if only vinny were here, we could trade a 2nd rounder to new england to get haynesworth back.

Nobody on here is, but everybody has an opinion anyway.
I was just curious what yours was with regard to player evaluation if it shouldn't be done with preseason games. I'm all for thinking outside the box, but I don't see how you can test, evaluate and prepare players for NFL games without having them go head to head full speed against opposing players.
It's like we say in the Army, train as you fight.
