On one of my other forum boards, we have a couple of Ravens fans on there. This is what was being posted last night! If this doesn't get ya fired up, nothing will!

14-0 Skins.

I'm shaking and distraught over this. oh my God. LOL

Good thing this isn't the real O-line

And of course I told him that in the 3rd preseason game, the teams play their regular players at least until the midpoint of the third quarter. Here's his response:

No they didn't. Yanda and Birk out with injuries and McKinnie hasn't dressed yet. Your team saw a makeshift OL. Sorry to burst that pre-season bubble. http://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gifhttp://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gifhttp://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gifhttp://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gifhttp://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gifhttp://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gifhttp://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gif

2 starters and 1 out of position. http://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif

Meanwhile, my team will get to the playoffs and your Snyders will be the Snyders. I truly am sorry. http://static.yuku.com/domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

and lastly...

And the Ravens can't decide who their starting CB's are. Most of the Skins passing was against Foxworth who may be traded or cut. He missed all of last year and is a cap issue.

So, take what you think is optimism. Come talk to me during the regular season. LMFAO

I freakin' hate the Steelers, but I hope the Ravens fail miserably when they go up against them this year!

You won't have to hope long. I foresee a drop in Raven football this season. They really haven't done much this off-season except get worse. The good news for them, they get to play the Bengals twice.

I don't get why those posts make u hate ravens fans enough to make this its own thread... And you do realize that their offensive line is down 3 starters right? It was a makeshift line due to injuries which explains why out defense manhandled them so much.

Are you sure you're on the right forum board? Hhhmmm...let's see...Ravens fan talk smack about my favorite team. And I'm supposed to be like, "snizzle, snizzle, you, you're, you're ri-righhht Mr. Ravens fan. I-I-I'm embarrassed to even be a Redskins fan. I sure hope your Ravens go all the way to the Super Bowl sir!"

Screw that! There's pride in this team again and doggonit, I'm fired up and ready to see this team have a better season. Certainly I'm realistic and don't expect this team to be Super Bowl Champs this year, but I'm tired of Redskins fans making excuses for themselves and other teams. Screw that!

Ravens have added some speed, but they had a lot of lucky breaks last night, and I'm still not certain Flacco is good enough to get them past the Steelers. And for our "lowly" Redskins to carve up their great defense on the ground and in the air last night says a lot I think.

Ravens fans can spin things any way they want, fact is deep down they have some cause for concern. Every team has to deal with injuries, and if your backups step in and get exposed, that's not a good thing. And let's not pretend all of our success was due to their couple of backups in there.

Ravens: Ravens' pass defense looks shaky against Redskins - baltimoresun.com (http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-notes-0826-20110825,0,68901.story)

Hightower's touchdown run was the first of the preseason against the Ravens, and they were less than pleased about it.

"We never give up yards running the ball, but the bottom line is when you look at that play, there were so many mistakes just on that one play," said inside linebacker Ray Lewis, who was blocked to the turf. "I think this is just an opportunity for us to always get better. But I really like the way we came out and faced adversity."

Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata said there was no miscommunication on the play.

"It was just more of the D-line getting cut down," he said. "Really, we've got to stay on our feet. If you see that play, I've got two guys on me, and some of us got cut down, so they had that little cut-back area. But I think we did better as the game went on. Hopefully, we can get rid of those mistakes and keep up our progression."

Any Ravens fan that talks any sh*t from this point on is just plain ignorant. The pseudo rivalry is cute during preseason, but after the game is over so is the "rivalry". That being said, their first-team offense got 14 points from two lucky penalties against our defensive unit that was without:

- The defense's QB (Fletcher)
- Our best player (Landry)
- One of the starting CBs (Wilson)
- A starting DE (Carriker)
- And we lost one of our promising rookies to an injury during the game (Jenkins)

Also, not to mention how their final first-team TD came against our back ups.

Also, consider the fact that the ravens and especially many raven fans seem to think that they are once again a Super Bowl contender, whereas just a few weeks ago ESPN.com was asking if the Skins were going to be the worst team in the league. I'm not saying we should take this as a moral victory but I think our team came out and showed that they can play. Hopefully this all translates to the regular season.
