Good for Orakpo

He's not someone I would have pegged necessarily as the face of the team from a commercial perspective

Good for him. I guess I need to target Cowboy, Giant, and Eagle fans that have Geico.

I can't remember the last time I saw a bonafide Redskin have a presence in national tv advertisements. Easterns doesn't count, because their ads were a local thing. McNabb doesn't count, because he was doing all his tv ads before he got here. Some might say this is a bad thing, but I think it's good for Orakpo to increase his profile like this.

Cooley has been in some national commercials.

I remember he was in that NFLN fantasy football commercial a few years ago where he caught a ball after punching his arm through a sheet of drywall. I can't think of any other national tv spots though.

Or maybe it was just Cooley's wife... can't remember.

Portis had a spot on NFL Network's total access commercials a few years back.
Remember the Colley spots, good stuff.
