Am I one of the only people around here that thinks Rex did a really excellent job running the offense this preseason?
You know he only did it against the STEELERS and RAVENS fist team defenses.
It's not like he was facing the Tampa Bay Bucs and their vaunted second stringers I'll give you that.
I don't think Beck's preseason body of work was even close to Grossman. I have no clue what football games these reporters and many of you were watching when I hear people say that the two performances were pretty equal, because they absolutely were NOT.
What I saw from Grossman was a QB that has matured, one who was able to make very stout defenses nervous.
UHHHHHHH we can win football games with that type of QB play.
Grossman was Grossman.
I really didn't see anything different than what we saw last year.

I saw him do very well against the Pitt's 2nd defense, and 1st team for one drive...
Like others said though.. Rex was doing Rex... He'll throw for 400 against Pitt, but throw for 120 and 4 turnovers against the Rams

I thought Rex did a good job as well, I just still think Beck wins the job.

Rex played well, but I don't like his inability to throw the deep ball. Beck has big play ability because of his footwork and stronger arm.

I think after a few more games under Becks belt he will seperate himself from Grossman. The competition is pretty even @ this point but Grossman has had many more games to develop over his career. So, Beck gives the Skins the best opportunity to make a leap..............

What is being risked? The entire 2011 season and then some. Little Danny might not be as patient as we think he is. Do you think Danny is going to excuse another sub 500 season? Maybe, but I am worried he will revert back to his old ways.
Ok Sally, dial down the drama a few notches, ok? The entire season doesn't hinge on the play of the QB. We're going to be a heavy running and defense team with the QB expected to manage the game and make plays when the opportunity presents itself.
We have improved at every position group on the field, INCLUDING quarterback. Don't expect Rex or Bex to be trotting onto the field at Aloha Stadium in February but they should be able to effectively get us through the season. If they fail, we draft a QB in 2012 and are able to plug him into a young and talented roster. This is pretty much a win-win.
Don't be fooled by the national media clowns painting Snyder with an itchy trigger finger waiting to fire Shanny if they don't make the promised land. He knows this is the best coach and GM he's had since he bought the team and is smart enough not to screw it up.

Let's face it, neither one of these guys are great QBs.

I agree with wilslwilso 100%. Rex looks much more comfortable then beck. Beck also has a problem with starring down his receiver. I'm just not sold on beck like so many others seem to be. Rex,by far,had a better pre-season.
