Or for the serious sports fan who doesn't believe in smiling in sports photos should be legal (this does look more "Caesarly")

Starting QB IMO should be JB. Grossman fan's won't have to wait long according to what you've been saying JB will last about an hour then MS/KS will yank him and Grossman will go in. I don't see that happening but JB to start we Know what Grossman can do & can't do.

if we're winning/looking good offensively, it doesn't really matter. grossman is 20-13 i heard as a starter (did not confirm), both are pushing 30, and neither one is going to the probowl, so it's whatever.

average QB A vs average QB B isn't nearly as exciting as the local sports media is making it out to be (or, rather, isn't a story worth nearly as much press as it's been given).

I h ave to agree with That Guy, both are not exactly franchise QBs. I just picked Grossman since he has more starts under his belt. Beck is more mobile, but mobility doesn't translate into wins. just look at Vick in ATL.

Vick didn't do jack shit in practice or the film room. If your comparison is to hold, then Beck is doing the same as Vick in the film room: nothing in practice or in the film room. Beck's attitude is strongy pointed in the direction opposite of Michael Vick's. He takes every practice and film study seriously. Beck is more like Todd Collins than Vick in Atlanta.

On a separated note, Chase Daniel is currently entrenched as Drew Brees' backup. Pretty good.

BECK.

Hopefully Beck will win the job over Grossman, he seems much more mobile. Rex throws to the wrong team when he's pressured, or just misses wide open WRs like that horrible pass to Moss when he was one-on-one with Suggs last game.

I'd prefer to have Beck get his shot and be more comfortable with Grossman coming in as a backup. I think we'd be in better shape if we have to replace Beck with Rex than if Rex goes down/can't do the job and we have to bring in a backup without a resume.

Lets see what Beck can do and have an experienced backup on hand. Seems to be the better route to me.

Besides, Beck looks better anyways...he should win the job without any considerations on who would be the better backup...John just looks like the better starter, period.

I've got 2 QB's that can run my offense and thru this Preseason they are neck and neck in most eyes. One is a vet with 8 years behind him while the other is a 30 something who looks just as good with only a 4 game experence from 07.

If they are playing equal now, to me, that means the unknown is playing at the Vets level without his game time. Thus with game experence he can get better while the vet has proven to have reached his high water mark already!

I'm choosing the new guy because no one knows yet what his level of play can be imvho!
