My neighbor across the street, big Giants fan from NJ...he's depressed and the season hasn't even started. :D
Could be the neighborhood or the fact he lives in PA that has him depresed.

As long as they have Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks, and Mario Manningham I wouldn't suggest reading their obituary. It should be a battle nonetheless.

2 things,1) I've noticed that the first game of the season is always a battle. 2) it's not where you are at the start but at the finish that matters.

I have a tough time believing that -- the only real dominating presence in our front 7 right now is Rak IMO whereas the blue men have Tuck, Osi, Kiwanuka, and Canty.

By the way, Kinwanuka is returning from IR with a herniated disc injury and we know Osi hasn't been up to par due to knee injuries. Tuck and Canty are beasts.

Same here. It seems that every year the Giants go through a phase when it seems that all is lost for them and that Coughlin's job is on the line, etc., etc., etc., and all of the sudden they pull a playoff run out of nowhere.

I thought you were going to say "... and then they play Washington."

We've been a struggling team's best bounce-back opponent for far too long. I agree though -- beating the Giants will be a great barometer to determine how far we've come.

I think the Skins have to win their first two games 1) Giansts 2) Cards to be taken seriously.

Well I think the key for the Giants will be what kind of reciever Nicks turns out to be.

The truth is the Giants havent had a real wide reciever threat since Plaxico shot himself in the leg. The Giants are a competely different team when they have a tall wide receiver who can get open for Manning.

Nicks is already more of a beast than Plaxico ever was for them.

He came from NJ...he should be ecstatic about his new neighborhood. :)

Neighbors on the OTHER side are new implants from NJ too, but Eagles fans. 3 houses right there...Skins, Giants and Eagles...I'm conflicted. Should be fun during the season though.
