Giants CB likely out for season with torn ACL vs Bears preseason MNF game.Alvin Walton 08-23-2011, 08:18 AM I feel really bad for the Gints......... not Giantone 08-23-2011, 08:39 AM That defense is still very talented up front, but injuries and poor drafting is making that pass defense trend towards ugly. Their only good players in the back seven are Michael Boley and whatever Kiwanuka and Kenny Phillips have developed into. That's just not very good, by any stretch. . LOL........wow,ok. SOUL-SKINS 08-23-2011, 08:43 AM Do ya think they go after Samuels? Giantone 08-23-2011, 09:08 AM Do ya think they go after Samuels? .....they will look into it. 12thMan 08-23-2011, 09:09 AM Tripp, I don't think the Giants front seven is anymore talented than the Redskins at this point. The only thing separating us from the better front sevens in the NFL is playing time together. skinsfan69 08-23-2011, 09:15 AM Tripp, I don't think the Giants front seven is anymore talented than the Redskins at this point. The only thing separating us from the better front sevens in the NFL is playing time together. Not sure about that. Pierre Paul is a physical freak. Once Osi gets back I think they still have a pretty good front 7. Do we have 3 guys that are as good as Tuck, Paul and Osi? We'll see. 12thMan 08-23-2011, 09:18 AM Not sure about that. And yes, we'll see. I like what we got in our front seven. skinsfan69 08-23-2011, 09:19 AM No Kevin Boss or Steve Smith either...but maybe Devin Thomas! He looked pretty good as a return man. Maybe he's found his nitch? Kind of like Desmond Howard! I think the Giants, like Pittsburgh, really believe in the guys they draft. Rookie TE steps in for Boss as well as Cruz for Smith. rbanerjee23 08-23-2011, 09:21 AM Tripp, I don't think the Giants front seven is anymore talented than the Redskins at this point. The only thing separating us from the better front sevens in the NFL is playing time together. I have a tough time believing that -- the only real dominating presence in our front 7 right now is Rak IMO whereas the blue men have Tuck, Osi, Kiwanuka, and Canty. freddyg12 08-23-2011, 09:30 AM The G-men definitely still have a great D line, even after losing Cofield. They've got a lot of adversity to deal with, including Osi's unhappiness. Coughlin will have to do a great job to get that team together. Offensively, they are a real unknown w/that line. I'm not saying we'll have a winning season, but I think we can finally beat the G-men in week 1. |
