If you have a KR that does what Banks does (if he can continue to deliver) his job is secure. The kid is electric

Penalties, turnovers, sacks allowed.... Something we didn't see last week. And Hankerson- I know you led the team in receiving last night, but stop dropping passes dude.

That said, he can't keep getting beat by elite pass rushers. I mean, I understand there's a reason they're elite and he's just starting his second year.

Are you including John Chick in that group?

Unless I'm mistaken he was left floundering by Chick as well as Freeney. :(

I dont know if Kyle is just going very vanilla in the red zone, but we gotta get better. Where is that redzone reciever? And please stop calling RB screens that give no room to develop.

Becks gotta get the ball downfield a little more to impress me. This competition is far from over.

Silverback, im not worried about.

Safety play was better, but not much. We need LL and OJ back in there.

Most of my thoughts about last night's game are positive but, in the spirit of this thread, there are a few concerns that I have about some players.

1. Beck - Many positive things but I need to see him throw the long ball before I try to catch up to and jump on the Beckwagon.
2. Hankerson - Right now, I just can't think of a WR who came into the NFL and dropped a lot of passes who corrected that problem over time. I may be wrong. If so, somebody school me. Any WR who is just as likely to drop a pass as he is to catch it won't make it in the NFL.
3. I still think that Rocky McIntosh is not a good fit for ILB in a 3-4. In fact, he wasn't very good in a 4-3 either. Does he ever make an eye-catching play?
4. The pass rush was so-so against an unsettled Colts OL.

I'm not too worried about Hank, I think he'll be a stud. Kudos to Keenan McCardell for working with the rook. Helu, stud. Tim Hightower...funny, he reminds me a little of Brian Westbrooks before his wheels gave out.

I'm honestly on the fence about Banks. The one dimensional thing just makes him expendable in today's NFL. Are the Redskins really the caliber team that can carry a guy who's good at one thing? I don't know.

The one thing I'm very pleased with is that it appears as though this team is buying into the system on both sides of the ball. Considering how we imploded down the stretch last year, it's good to see some cohesiveness which is usually good for a win or two during close games.

[QUOTE] 1.) The Beckwagon-Slow your roll, Beckwagoneers. He did nothing wrong really, and he was very efficient in one half. But he played in a pretty simple offense last night against a simple defense. He didn't cleary distance himself from Rex Grossman last week. The question, of course, is does he need to?

What you saw last night will not keep many DC"s up late trying to figure out how to defend. I'm in agreement with those who want to see if Beck can deliver the ball down the field on any consistent basis, until then no team is going to fear him as a NFL QB.

I understand the thread.....but we have been sucking for so long, that when we finally look good as a team, its hard for me to start looking at flaws...lol I am in awe how differenct we look as a team and organization.

1. Beck needs to do it again (another solid game and he is the starter)
2. TW has to study elite DE moves and tendacies again
3. Torrain better be impressive b/c these young backs are looking good
4. Red zone offense needs to improve big time

Well, I had started this thread about 3 years ago to counter against ignorant accusations on kool-aid drinking (remind me to change my avatar back by the way) and because game day and post game day threads were being cluttered by sky is falling crap.

Hoping we these threads we can at least have level headed discussions about what's not working.

That said, overall I'm very thrilled with the direction and energy of this team. But I'll save the positives for our new weekly thread debuting soon...Scud's Studs

Not to jump on you Longtimefan, but it bugs me a little when people say things like "no team is going to fear him as QB". Well duh, that's most QBs in the NFL. How many quarterbacks are honestly revered in the NFL? Five maybe? Manning, Brady, Vick, Brees, Rodgers?

You could probably add another two to that list, but my point is the majority of QBs in the NFL aren't great but teams still manage to win with them. Look, Beck or Rex won't be going to the Pro-Bowl this year but if they turn out to be good solid Redskins, then that's the most I could hope for and hopefully end up 8-8 or 9-7 in the process.

Not to compare us to the WC OFF 49's but there game was based on dink & dunk small passes turning into large gains.
