Anyone impressed by any players in the bowl games today??
Marcus Spears had a solid game for LSU but I was more impressed by Erasmus James and David Pollock. James was constantly double teamed and Pollock was just throwing the tackle lined up against him around. I was also impressed with Matt Roth and Abdul Hodge from Iowa. Roth was constantly in the backfield and showed great speed. Even though Hodge is a jr. he looks like a great LB prospect. I wouldn;t mind getting him if we could in the 3rd round if he is still around, if he does come out this year. Anyone else see anyone that grabbed their eye?

just found this in a mock draft......
8. Washington Redskins: Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin
What can you say about the 2004 Washington Redskins? A team that had such high hopes before the season thanks to the return of Hall of Fame coach and legend Joe Gibbs has simply fallen flat on their faces. Despite their poor showing this year it is really hard to pinpoint one area where this team is severely lacking, but one spot that could be upgraded is the defensive line. Despite having what most consider only average talent the current group has done a tremendous job this season under new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams but that doesn't mean they can't improve. Guys like Renaldo Wynn and Phillip Daniels are solid but what this teams lacks is that dynamic pass rush threat which is exactly what Erasmus James has the potential to be. James has improved his draft stock more than anyone in the country this year after sitting out the entire 2003 season with an injury. In fact, James may be the most dominant defensive player in college football this season and he has gone from a fringe day one pick to a lock for the first round and the scary part is that he hasn't even begun to touch the tip of his full potential. The team may also look to upgrade their struggling offense and someone like Mike Williams could be a possibility, but the chance to bring in an impact defensive lineman might be too tempting to pass up. Someone like Mathias Kiwanuka of Boston College could be a possibility here as well but this may be a little high for him considering he is still raw and far from a finished product.

i think we'll go after mike williams if he is available, or trade down for a couple quality linemen

Mingya did he have a day or what? There were like 5 times in that game that I was just shocked at some of the stuff he pulled off. This guy could be a Mike Vick type player in the NFL someday. Hopefully he can get Texas to finally beat OU next year.

Vince Taylor from Houston Texas looks like the next Mike Vick. The kid has some serious set of wheels. Running 21 times for 193 yards and four touchdowns. Earlier in the game, he was barely even touched on touchdown runs of 60, 23 and 20 yards. He ran for over 1,000 yards for the year... reminder, he is a QB!
The other great player in this game and the Skins should seriously consider is WR Braylon Edwards. Texas was double teaming him and still they could not stop him. He is a big/tall talented receiver. With the 5th pick in the draft I would think the Skins have a great chance at either WR Braylon Edwards or former USC WR Williams. Not a bad choice!
