I'd say it's Greek to me...but that may not be what you'd say :)

Yet another reason why Cris Carter is a moronSwarley 08-17-2011, 06:55 PM I'd say it's Greek to me...but that may not be what you'd say :) haha well played! warriorzpath 08-17-2011, 06:58 PM ... I don't think anybody else cares about this anyway. SmootSmack 08-17-2011, 06:59 PM I think we should stop while we were ahead. I think there is at least a common understanding that the media may have some affect on players. I don't think we really agree exactly. But that's fine we can stop if you'd like. BigHairedAristocrat 08-17-2011, 07:20 PM ... I don't think anybody else cares about this anyway. I browsed through your posts about cowherd in this thread and this one jumps out as being the most accurate. Yet- I can't resist. Cowherd is a joke, he's a sensationalist. He stretches and exaggerates the facts of any situation to an absurd degree just to make a point that he can summarize in a catchy soundbite. He's the rush limbaugh of sports radio. anyone persuaded by him is exceptionally weak minded tryfuhl 08-17-2011, 07:48 PM Gotta go with Barbacoa like other things in this thread, too salty. Gotta keep it authentic. sportscurmudgeon 08-17-2011, 08:17 PM Ok even if you thought I said it was the only reason why- I just said it wasn't. And I just updated my post. It's not the opinion you are denying. It's the impact of the opinion. The only thing that I can compare this to that you cam relate to is like you saying money won't change me I'll still be the same person. We are just on two different levels of thinking. I don't whose right and whose wrong. Let me say that if you think that belief and confidence have an affect - I would consider these a form of opinion. And I think it is important to have the fan base believe in a team because I believe it does affect the teams performance. PLEASE continue your beliefs and continue to channel all that positive energy toward the team. I would never try to discourage you from doing that or try to change your mind. PLEASE do not continue to try to convince me that this amounts to anything more substantial than a pinch of pigeon poop. Because that is my "level of thinking" and I don't see it changing a whole lot. I have no interest in trying to change your mind; you have exactly no chance of changing mine. Dirtbag59 08-17-2011, 08:33 PM Wait, what did Oprah say our record would be? Seriously though, you going to answer my Cowher question or not? As for Oprah, we're talking about a different kind of influence. Michael Jordan and Oprah both enter a restaurant in Chicago with parties of two. There is one table left (with two seats). Jordan and Oprah refuse to sit together. Who gets it? SmootSmack 08-17-2011, 08:35 PM Michael Jordan and Oprah both enter a restaurant in Chicago with parties of two.
