Mallet Looked Legit. My friend who currently plays QB at a DI school told me last April that he believed the best QB in that draft would be Mallett. I know its one game, and not even half the other rookie QB's have played, but my friend my be on to something.

Mallett is in the best situation he could ever be, if you put aside the whole "not getting paid first round money" thing. But he is on a team that will keep whatever character issues he has in check, and will be given time to develop into a good QB. Sadly, I don't think this would have been possible here or many of the QB-starved teams that could've drafted him last April.

Looks like it's going to be the year of the touchback.

Banks is clearly on the bubble with this new rule in effect.

Not necessarily, they did have one KO for a TD which went 103 Hess last night. I can't remember which team... The Patriots? I not sure. And yes it could have been against scrubs but its a possibility with the right blocking. Unfortunately we never have the perfect blocking, not sure if it's the scheme or the players not doing their jobs.

Ok, one out of how many kicks?

The new rule definitely de-emphasizes the role of a kick returner. And for a guy like Banks that offers little at any other position, I don't see how you can say he's not on the bubble.

Janikowski was booting them out of the endzone, lol

Exactly what I was thinking. It really turns into, who's the better punt returner? Paul, Banks, Robinson, Royster, Austin...we'll see.

I sure hope not. I didn't see much of the games last night but I assume there was a lot of touchbacks? I still think they've got to find a way to keep Banks.

It was the Chargers (Bryan Walters), and it was against the Seahawks.

dudes a sixth round pick in his first preason game, i really hope people didnt expected anything more than what he did.

That's pretty much what I'm sayin. He was playing in his first preseason game, two weeks after starting to practice, he's probably at least a couple years of riding the bench away before he might even be in the discussion as a decent backup qb, I honestly wouldn't know why people would expect more than he did. He looked good on that one play where he escaped the pressure in the red zone, but then he threw the pick to Jarrad Page which made everyone completely forget about how he was able to move around in the pocket out there lol.

Freaking Nnamdi Asomugha. Just saw his post game interview with Sal Palantonio. Extremely articulate and very well spoken. What the hell is he doing in Philly? I know I hate corners but I think I could have gotten on board with breaking the bank for NA.
I'd REALLY love to hate his ass.......but he seems like a really good dude.
