I'm curious to see how many people start voting for Royster after tonight's game. Apparently the reason Royster played most of the game once Hightower left was because Shanny prefers to evaluate his backs over the course of a game. So Helu will probably get a game where he plays the majority, and so on. I didn't even realize it but he did it last year with the over-the-hill crew too.

Don't think so. His hands being a prob has been his MO for awhile. Don't get me wrong, I want him to succeed as much as the next guy, I'm just not betting the farm if ya catch my drift?

It may be one game but the one thing we've been hearing about him from practice and now in game situations is that he still drops the ball way more often than he should. I haven't seen anyone drop the ball like that since 50/50 was here.

Hank had two drops (I believe). One was catchable, but thrown slightly out of his reach, and a second drop that was pretty bad. He's not out of shape like Thomas and Kelly were, and he is a 3rd rounder. While drops have been an issue with him, it is something that I hope the coaching staff can rectify. I don't think people should throw the towel on him after just one preseason game affected by the lockout.

Hankerson's drops are most likely a function of the complexity of the game being a bit fast for him. The fact that he's looked good in picking up the nuances in the game means he's already close. I have adjusted my expectations for him this year accordingly: he's just not there quite yet. But at the time of his release, I don't think Devin Thomas was even as close to "getting it" as Hankerson already is.

He has to fight through the drops and play more smooth or risk becoming Rod Gardner. Gardner was never a particularly poor player, he just failed to live up to his draft status. Hankerson's bar is set lower, and I think he'll be okay.

Helu will break at least 4 long TD runs this season.

I think you might be right. He adds super quick feet to his speed.

Hopefully we draft Terrelle Pryor & he becomes a Red Zone option at wildcat/QB/WR
