So, does the NFL Sunday Ticket start when Preseaon starts or no? I'm assuming the channels just appear? Reason why I ask is that I hooked back up to Direct TV and they gave me the NFL Sunday Ticket for this season (even though I can watch most Redskins games on the local channel,) and the guy over the phone told me to "test" it to make sure it worked. I haven't seen any of the channels or either my box says the channels are not available. Just want to make sure it appears like it should.
Also, I'll more than likely be moving just right out of the Redskins market next year, and was wondering what to expect as far as price and so forth. I know it's something around, what, $300 per season? Was wondering if anybody has ever gotten some kind of discount on it?
The Ticket doesn't show preseason games. The NFL Network does.

CSN Washington has all Skins preseason games in HD. Usually NFL Network replays them also...most of the games with the local broadcasters.

The pre-season game rights are negotiated by individual teams. They aren't part of the national TV packages that the NFL secures. That's why the broadcasts move as often compared to the regular season games. Right now as someone said the Skins broadcast partner is CSN.

OK, that's good to know! I knew the NFL Network replayed all of the preseason games, so something told me that they probably were not a part of the Sunday Ticket, but I wanted to be sure.
Not sure if I will be home to watch the first preseason game, but I know that game is not being broadcasted in HD on the "live" station, so I might just wait and watch it the next day on the NFL Network.

No pre-season or post season games, but as you know all of the playoffs are broadcast on the networks. I've had the Ticket for 10 years or so..... ,but no"Valued Customer" discounts yet. Another point, if a game is available on your local channel package it will not be aired on the Sunday Ticket due to local advertising.
If you have a big problem with the price, call them up and politely try to negotiate a discount. Plenty of people have success doing that if you approach it the right way.

If it is not broadcast in HD it will probably not be recorded in HD which means it won't be in actual HD on the NFL network.
