Well, Paintrain, you win this round. In the sense at least that some of my least favorite Redskins of all time are still on the team.

At least we'll go five and eleven this year with a team of "good guys", completely free of those divas that contribute to teams winning games.

Sadly my friend, we both lose since neither your least nor my least favorite players have led us to much success.

I wouldn't mind a couple of talented divas, as long as their talent and production match their egos. BTW, 8-8 or bust this year.

Rogers was picked 9th
C.Bailey was picked 7th

Los wasn't even close to the player CB is/was.. I'd consider him a bust

Bailey I believe was a Casserly pick and Vinny picked Rogers, which explains passing on Aaron Rodgers and picking Carlos at #9.

Wow! One year for $4 million. He has a lot to prove this year.

Those were more Gibb picks. See the difference is Vinny listened to Gibbs and served as a yes man unlike Beathard who would challenge Gibbs. So when Gibbs panicked and asked Vinny to get a running back in 06 Vinny called up Atlanta and offered a third for TJ Ducket. When Gibbs really wanted Brunell, rather then advise Gibbs to wait for him to be released or offer a late late second day pick Vinny helped make a deal for a third round pick.

Then when Gibbs got fired Vinny got total control of football operations and didn't respect Zorn enough to listen to requests, that or Zorn was so in over his head he didn't have requests to make.

As for 05. Gibbs wanted Rogers and Campbell, Vinny just went along with the coaches request.

Thats why I suspect Bruce is a great match for Shanny. Bruce is willing to say no or wait when he has to.

I would be ok with MS leaving, not that I think he should. But if BA goes away I will cry. I like what we are doing now and that there is a plan even if it seems to be a year or two away from completion.

He was a LITTLE above-average cornerback, who never took advantage of being in the position of making a big play. And let's face it, he was beaten on his fair share of plays (big and small). He also spoke badly about the redskins and D.C. even while he was with the redskins. And considering I don't remember him trash-talking to any opposing teams -- that's not being confident, that's just being an ass.

And considering just this without the comparisons to other players -- to those that wanted him back: why?

When was Gibbs fired? You know something we don't? Please!

Please don't get me started on the damage that Joe 2.0 did to our football operations. We are just now getting out of the crater the decisions of that era created. I was somewhat vilified years ago when I said that Joe 2.0 set the franchise back at least 5 years but sadly I was proven right. Rogers is a shining example of such.

Just a quick note of correction though, Gibbs retired-was not fired.

Resigned, fired? Same thing right? Lol, yeah that was a mistake on my part. However just replace fired with step down and the message is still the same. Gibbs basically had Vinny putting together the deals for the players Gibbs wanted and the deals Vinny put together were usually pretty bad. Had Vinny done his job he would have advised more patience or in some cases said no all together.
