Here's my take on Rogers. He's a very good coverage corner and he can help just about any team. While people probably get on him too much on the dropped picks, I think is because our has always been in desperate need of a playmaker. Yet, I think that if he was better at holding on to picks, he could probably have gotten the money that he wanted from the Redskins or any other team.

We have a playmaker now. He just can't cover and loses his jock trying to tackle Jake Delhomme. :)

Kinda wish we could have kept him regardless of dropping picks, which started when he dropped that pick 6 in the playoffs in Seattle years ago... he was a good cover corner and I think the d will show his absence.

I never got past that play. Can't look at him without thinking of it...

I am telling you, if we can combine Rogers and Hall we'd have the perfect CB. LOL.

Blah.. So don't care about his departure. Team needs to wipe the stank off of the last few years and he was part of what created the smell in the first place. Niners D will blow this year.

There isn't anything new I can add to this thread, so I'm just going to agree with everyone else. Sounds like he wanted out of here, I'dve been fine with him coming back, but if the best he can do is 1 year for 4 mil, then maybe he'll realize the market isn't what he thought it would be.

Significantly less than he was looking for.

Instead of getting Nnamdi money, he's signed a one year deal with the Niners. Probably worth around $4 million.

For that kind of deal I wish we would have kept him.

Still, he had some serious delusions of grandeur. He thought he was going to command top flight money, and instead couldn't even muster a multi-year deal. Memo to Carlos- teams don't throw money at cornerbacks with no hands.

Rogers to Wilson will be a fairly even trade off. Wilson has more speed and better ball skills but is small, Los is bigger and more physical, but doesn't make many plays.

I agree as far as the skill set comparison, but Wilson is 4 years younger, so I'd say it leans in our favor.

Word. Plus Wilson seems to be on the upswing, while Rogers has been consistently inconsistent for all these years.

we'll to be fair what was he supposed to think, after all he has been a skin since being drafted
