Heard Shanny offered Daniels a start in coaching if he did decide to retire, but Daniels still feels like he can play. He was getting a little long in the tooth but he brought a lot of things to this team beside play on the field. I wish him success wherever he goes and I definitely wouldn't mind if he took Shanny up on that coaching offer whenever he does decide to retire. mlmpetert 08-02-2011, 05:14 PM PD is a solid dude but it was time to start getting younger. I think as long as we have Fletcher we'll be ok in the veteran leadership dept. The team overall has a lot more team guys vs. me guys anyway. I feel bad seeing him go because he was great player on and off the field, but this is kind of the way i feel. Even though hes in his late 30's i feel like he was a dude that just doesnt age. I could see him signing on and contributing elsewhere. If not i too think he would make a good coach. Thanks PD! freddyg12 08-02-2011, 05:15 PM I was at this game, PD dominated w/four sacks & a fumble! Watch the one where he pretty much brings Bledsoe down w/one hand! ‪Redskins vs. Dallas 2005‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvAh-IYEVZo) NC_Skins 08-02-2011, 05:40 PM Loved PD the person and player. He used to post and answer questions over at ES, which is one of the brighter things about that site. CrazyCanuck 08-02-2011, 06:06 PM Of all the overpaid vets we've brought in here over the last decade, PD was a shining exception. Professional and a team player. Every year I'd wait for him to get bumped off the line by a "hungry rookie", but instead he'd keep the job and exceed my expectations. Maybe not spectacular but solid through and through. Thanks PD! skinsfan69 08-02-2011, 06:08 PM I was at this game, PD dominated w/four sacks & a fumble! I think his son plays college ball. skinsfaninok 08-02-2011, 06:30 PM yes thank u PD great player calia 08-02-2011, 06:49 PM McCardell as WR coach. Ray Brown as an OL coach. Philip Daniels as a DL coach. All guys who were coaches in the field in their waning years. McCardell already seems like he's working out well. |
