Makes you wonder how any one man could stay in front of him.

I'll just echo what everyone else has said in this thread. Heard Shanny offered Daniels a start in coaching if he did decide to retire, but Daniels still feels like he can play. He was getting a little long in the tooth but he brought a lot of things to this team beside play on the field. I wish him success wherever he goes and I definitely wouldn't mind if he took Shanny up on that coaching offer whenever he does decide to retire.

PD is a solid dude but it was time to start getting younger.

I think as long as we have Fletcher we'll be ok in the veteran leadership dept. The team overall has a lot more team guys vs. me guys anyway.

I feel bad seeing him go because he was great player on and off the field, but this is kind of the way i feel. Even though hes in his late 30's i feel like he was a dude that just doesnt age. I could see him signing on and contributing elsewhere. If not i too think he would make a good coach.

Thanks PD!

I was at this game, PD dominated w/four sacks & a fumble! Watch the one where he pretty much brings Bledsoe down w/one hand!

Loved PD the person and player. He used to post and answer questions over at ES, which is one of the brighter things about that site.

Of all the overpaid vets we've brought in here over the last decade, PD was a shining exception. Professional and a team player. Every year I'd wait for him to get bumped off the line by a "hungry rookie", but instead he'd keep the job and exceed my expectations. Maybe not spectacular but solid through and through.

Thanks PD!

McCardell as WR coach.
Ray Brown as an OL coach.
Philip Daniels as a DL coach.

All guys who were coaches in the field in their waning years. McCardell already seems like he's working out well.
