GTripp0012 08-02-2011, 12:41 PM Ravens will lose the offseason (and the actual season) if they sign Highway 61.Disagree. Rabach is almost the perfect NFL backup C because the guy plays through nearly any injury.
Matt Birk is still one of the best centers in the league, so if everything goes right, Rabach will never see the field for them. But if he has to play, it at least means they won't have to reshuffle the entire line to do so.
Monkeydad 08-02-2011, 12:45 PM Philip Buchanon is going to be out the first 4 games of the season according to Rotoworld.com

Buchy on the juice?
So, now we should sign Hayden.
GTripp0012 08-02-2011, 12:45 PM NFL.com news: Pro Bowl TE Miller could join Seahawks, but Raiders still in mix (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82129371/article/pro-bowl-te-miller-could-join-seahawks-but-raiders-still-in-mix?module=HP11_headline_stack)
I'm surprised that Miller is considering Seahawks, they have Carlson who they really like..Of course, Carlson was drafted by Tim Ruskell to play for Mike Holmgren, and then Jim Mora after Holmgren retired. Now the Seahawks have a new head coach, new personnel guy in John Schneider, have Tom Cable trying to import some Raiders to their offense.
Carlson is one of like 10 holdovers from the Holmgren days, which both means that he's good enough to survive this long, but also that he's replaceable.

One can catch, and is fast, and can cover as well as Los. The other can't catch, isn't as fast, and blows coverages at times.
Monkeydad 08-02-2011, 01:19 PM I'll take the one that can catch and doesn't want to play for the Cowboys.

Point made

You never hear how much better at catching the ball Nate Clements is over Ike Taylor, even though that's unquestionably true.

I'm hoping that this would be the year we get to see Barnes playing alot

Because you need turnovers. A corner who can intercept is a huge plus. Ike Taylor does have shaky hands, true, but Ike can cover. Carlos cant cover as well as Ike. Like Cris Collinsworth said "If Carlos Rodgers had hands he'd be in the pro bowl every year." He doesn't so he's a little wanted corner who will blow a coverage every now and then and doesn't get your team picks/turnovers.
