I mentioned this signing yesterday, but now there's a link
Redskins to Sign Sav Rocca « CBS Washington (http://washington.cbslocal.com/2011/07/28/redskins-to-sign-sav-rocca/)
My understanding is there is a holdup with his visa right now so he's still in Australia but he should be here next week

I like this. The punter position is a bit underrated in my opinion. I don't really care whether a guy consistently booms the ball 48 yards or 43, 5 yards isn't much of a difference. But it's huge to have a punter who won't shank one or clunk a low liner to a Desean Jackson type and have him take it the distance.
Hang time and consistency is key. Giving up punt return TDs is an easy way to lose a game or two throughout the season. And a game or two can be the difference between playoffs and not.

The important question is...can he play the swinging gate?!

Just ask Tom Coughlin!
Great post.
Although, I really think everyone forgot about Bidwell...unless he's still not healthy. Rocca should still be an upgrade, the best we've had since Reggie Roby.
